Hi Guys,

Saw an ad (New Paper 2/8/03) for a new joint calld Mandarin at 22 Upp Cross St (near new Hotel 81).
Called and the lady said that they had 4 girls and all young ones.

Since this is new joint, and no postings, I am taking the leap to try it out and shall report back.

Like they say nothing ventured nothing gained.

Sorry for the delay in reporting.

General report on Mandarin :

1) In New Paper advertised massage with body scrub @$38/- per hour. No fixed line to call only handphone No.

2) All this seemed a little fishy so checked out the place from accross the street.

3) No 22 Upp Cross Street is a 3 storey building, and all floors appeared to have been painted outside in matching pink.

4) On Ground floor there is a hair saloon and the upper floors do not appear occupied yet.

5) The handphone was answered by lady boss, who I latter saw as a very much older woman, heavily made up and dressed like going to a fancy party. But the make up no use, still looked quite old.

6) In side they have about 4 or 5 barber chairs plus area and 2 chairs to wash hair, and all looks very legitimate for a new place with fresh renovations but no customers when I when at about 6.00 pm on a Saturday.

7) There was the lady boss, 2 guys and 3 girls sitting around the hair saloon.

8) Prior to going in had called a second time to counter check with handphone no., the lady boss confirmed got massage so went in.

9) Went in and lady boss escorted me though the hair saloon (front room) to a back room (small waiting room) which (aside from where I came in) had 1 door at the back and a doorway at the side.

10) I latter found out that the door at the back of the back room led to another room with 2 door, each to a bathroom.

11) The side doorway of the back room led to a large room with about 6 (estimate) or so cubicles. The cubicles were divided by wooden or similar material partitions that did not go all the way to the ceiling. (Did not notice whether the partitions went all the way to the floor). The entrances to the cubicles each have a plastic shower curtain as a door.

12) Inside the cubicle found a massage table (the type with a hole for your face). The cubicle had just enough space around all sides of the massage table for a person to move through sideways or stand, with a little more space at the entrance to the cubicle. There was florescent lights on the ceilings which would have lit more than 1 cubicle if it was switched on plus the cubicle had its own small lighting.

Specific FR on Susan

Overall there is nothing much to report or recommend.

1) Started off with body scrub. No real experience here, so would consider it OK, but nothing special or out of the ordinary to report.

2) After the body scrub, on the masage table, was given a towel and escorted to the toilets at the back, to shower (alone).

3) After shower, I returned to cubicle.

4) Then proceeded with massage. Fairly simple, no great technic, but good strong hands that worked hard to rub down the whole body, especially the back.

5) Susan went over time and before she could finish massage realised that the hour was up and I opted to extend to 1.5 hr ($57) [1 hr is $38].

6) Susan is a PRC girl, in Singapore some 2 months, and speaks little english (I speak no mandarin). She says she is 30 yrs old, (very believable). She says she is from Northern China, from a place I had never heard of and soon forgot). She is a big girl, tall, broad shoulders, with longer than shoulder length hair and a big long face with large features.

7) Susan would never be pretty but at best handsome with a little help of make up.

8) End of massage, Goldern question popped at $40 for HJ only, which came down to $30, but still I declined. She offered to do head/scalp & face massage. This was quite good.

9) I had decided to myself that I would give a small tip of $10 just for the massage, and then decided a further $10 for the face and scalp massage. The golden question popped again and I relented at $30. What the heck I was going to give $10 to $20 tip, so rounding it to $30 was OK.

10) Special skills very basic.

Autoroam very limited allowed
Overall 4/10 - nothing bad but a very forgettable
experiance.
Recommendation - Go if interested in a cheap massage & scrub, but otherwise a very forgettable experiance with nothing to recommend to brudders about.

12) Was told by Susan that the hair saloon does cut hair, though not clear whether by the PRC girls or others. Hair Sallon area is very open with large glass window and glass door in full view of outside (bus stop just outside) - so unlikely that hair cuts would be very adventurous even if my PRC girls.

13) Presently potential for hair saloon with hair cut in front room and full body massage ++ in back rooms. It has to be seen whether this venue and its staff develop their service standard and variety to become something interesting.

14) Possibly a brudder (preferably who can speak mandarin) and needing a hair cut should check out the location in future to find out whatelse there is. But no rush now, should give the establishment some time to experiment themselves to realise what the market wants.

the price is still 32/hr with free body scrub, hj another 30.
