Here`s my problem.

about 1 yr back, i met a gal from Batam working in the casino.

She`s a decent gal. Anyway, we`ve been seeing each other for the past year.

She travels up and i travel down very often.

Recently she was given an opportunity to work in Singapore. Of course she jumped at the chance without telling as she wanted to surprise me.

after reaching, only then she found out she`d been conned into prositution.

She works for a ``Boss" that`s involved with the underworld in Batam and knows where she stays. Refuses to let her return till maximum visa extention.

I want to help but don`t know of any ways. I can`t report this case as it would make her life back home worse. Best i could do was to book her for 1 nt. was charged S$150. I can`t go on doing that too.

Pls, anybody here can help me pls!

Agreed with this. I believed that she had came here willingly. She was not forced to come here and "open" her legs. Most of them live in povelty and in order to earn a better "Living" they will come here.

Bro, maybe your girl is telling the truth, maybe she's not.

My analysis, is as follows;

1. Batam casinos are illegal. No "decent" girl will be able to find the lobang to work there. Working there is thru contacts and recommendations, so I believe your girl is not as "decent" as you think she is.

2. This is the year 2005, no one, especially from Batam, can be "forced" or conned into working as a prostitute. If you're talking about some "swa ku" village, still got possibility to be conned, but definitely not people already "street-smart" working in Batam for so long liow. NBzz, your girl definitely cannot be so "blur" as to not know what business the "boss" is dealing, etc. She must have made arrangements, eg, loan from the boss, etc.. in exchange, pay back by owkring here as pros. If your girl is so "blur" in the first place, she wouldn't be working in the casino.

3. Even if its true, the "Boss" cannot be "big time". Big time bosses in Batam do not "conned" girls into fleash trade especially when there are so many willing to do. So reporting to authorities is definitely not a problem, both in SG and Batam. Alternatively, you can always "buy" her out but I think its a con job and your money will be split between the girl and her "team".

4. What the fuck is "maximum visa extension"? If the girl doesn't want to be extended, she can always pretend when she go to SIR, and when she is at the counter, just speak to the counter rep rudely and she'll not be extended. Don't tell me her OKT will follow her, they don't have the guts.

Anyway bro, it is definitely not a con job. You cannot conned a girl to be FL, maybe in "guarded" farm houses, but definitely not FL.

My two cents worth: I met an Indo FL from Batam while I was having my dinner at Lor 10 and she told her story. To cut it short,

1) They (Indo FLs) are not forced or conned into prostitution, basically all go into it willingly and with their eye's open.

2) The money they earn in a week, when converted into Rupiahs turns in Millions and if they lead an easy life in their kampung, can last them a year! (Of course, not in Jakarta) For the record, the FL told me tat she came from Sulawesi (formerly Celebes) and what she earned in one week, averaging S$1000 could last her a year in her kampung in Sulawesi.)

3) This FL whom I met, although she claims to be only 23 yrs old, is very very streetwise, (and even more street wise than me, though I am over twice her age), so I find it hard to believe that the girl you are talking about "been conned into prostitution". And I must add, of all the Indo FLs I talked to, are all too streetwise to be conned as a rule, but of course, there is always an exception.

So, be wary. My two-cents worth.

i have 2 friends who die die must travel to batam every weekend with all their cash, to see their "decent" girlfriends.
