An honorable member of the Coffee Shop Has Just Posted the Following:
I.am waiting for the day the SAF decides to buy F35.
This will mark a deadly mistake by our leaders
to buy this expensive controversial platform when
our public hospitals are overcrowded and public
buses packed like sardines
If they ignore all these problems and spend the money
excessively on defense. the citizens will not let them go so easily
unlike in the past, there will be severe repucussions.
just look at how under invested we are in the social infrastructur, the elderly
have to collect cardboard boxes to survive...
actually I will be surprise Minister Ng Eng Hen makes the same mistake
as previous defense ministers and does not rein in this lopsided excessive defense spending.
there is great disquiet among the citizens who now have to struggle for a living seeing
excessive spending on defense that is not necessary. The great danger is they will lose patience with the govt and put a stop to all this.
