New Paper story on trans Selina

Today's New Paper carries an interesting story about trans for those interested in knowing a bit of background about them.
Most of it is probably true, things like being rejected by family and society in general, the elder sister role (mak ayam) plus the part about how much they spend on upkeep.
The part about getting four customers a night in the four hour span that they work is bullshit. That doesn't add up. Even if she got four customers at Orchard Towers, which is rare these days, she would need at least eight hours to do all four! One hour in the room plus traveling time. Also very few pay the three hundred dollar mark except for some ang moh who just got off a plane!
The part about the mother not bearing to look at the son's face and yet saying "I pray for you make good money" (if the mother really said it), I thought was hypocritical. Yeah right, I can image her covering her face with one hand and the other reaching out for money. :rolleyes:
But overall, well researched article and good photography. I'm waiting for the second part tomorrow.

Usually few trans would dare quote $300 for even 2 hrs of fun, the ones I encountered with no matter how beautiful or close to the real woman only quoted me $150 for 2 hrs of massage and sex, the less good looking ones would accept somewhere between $50 for a short while to $100 for one shot plus massage at orchard towers.:cool:

Yes, I agree, for all we know it's true. But we don't know the whole story or whether the mother told the son that story for whatever reason.
Unfortunately, some trans have got a bad reputation for telling the truth.

Cosmetic counters in Tangs ground floor has one or two.
Quite a few clothing stores.....think there was one in Esprit in United Square last week.

I asked Vanessa about the Linguistics Masters (as i have one too) and she knew her stuff. I went home and googled her and sure enough i found something about her graduating from a Philippines university in 2002 and going on to do post graduate study in Japan (she's half Japanese). I believe her.....
