I don't think it is fair for any of us to instigate a boycott because MY is a business and they are only doing what any other business would do. They did not engage in any form of unethical business practices.

As consumers, we also have a choice. If you feel that the new prices are out of your range, then don't go. Those that still feel that it is reasonable will continue to go. If the demand drops drastically because of this, MY will realize that increasing their prices hurt their business, and they will either reduce their prices to get back business or settle for the less business. Everthing will come to an equilibrium eventually. But of course the equilibrium point may or may not be most favourable you.

So my opinion is leave it to the individuals to decide. Go if you still feel like it, don't go if you not comfortable.

But the Rule of Thumb is, if you go base on bros recommendation, please refrain from talking about or referring to the forum. What's worse is to print out the thread and show it to them.

Agree: it does get better if you go regularly. There are many older men, white haired ones mostly, going probably to get some companionship they may not get outside. The 'massage' done at these places are usually done through the clothes, esp if you're out at the gallery. Occasionally you may be requested to remove your shirt for a proper back massage, but this is rare.
