CHinese are not rare in Batam. There are tons of them. Just that the local chinese behave differently from outsiders. THey behave like locals.

SIngaporeans are the ones easily spotted by the way they talk, act and dress. Everyone look at you becos of the way they behave. Even I stay away from them when go outing, unless I have customers from singapore.

But to places that are not well litted. That I have to agree. If you are not a local, dont go to such places if you have nothing to do.

Anywhere you go, you have to take precaution, and never flash your valuables or money as if you are king.

Total population of Batam is about 1 million.

Btw I never go to Batam just for f***. I always went there for something else, for example buying something I can't get here. If I have spare time then I look for cewek to pamper me.

Sometimes I got them from massage places, contact from taxi driver, and even sales girl from the malls. Sometimes I got nothing too.

There is a cute girl in Nagoya Hill mall, most of the time she's alone in her small counter selling wallets and belts. She's my next "target" Hopefully she's still there the next time I go Batam. Haha...

I am bule, so I am definitely rarer than Chinese in Batam. People does look at me, but just to say hi and smile to me, or to ask money, or to offer services, depending on the circumstance. No areas are "secluded" to me, at night or day.
As far as I show respect for locals, locals do respect me. In my 11 visits to Batam so far (each lasting 3-7 days), I never felt in danger or experienced something unconfortable.
It's not the physical look, but the way we behave that may attract unwanted attention.

Well, so far I am satisfied with him and I don't think he's expensive by the service he gives. When I go shopping he carry my purchase for me, he gives complimentary transport ferry-hotel-ferry when I booked the hotel from him, etc.

Btw, where can get driver + car including petrol only rp 200,000 for 2 days? The cheapest roadside taxi was 50,000 per hour.

Well bro tats the price i give to my driver n i usually travel around nagoya.usually my driver pick me up at harbourbay drive me to my galfren place then evening drive to nagoya then 9pm fetch me home not much activity cause main aim comin to btm just to relax.tomorow evening sent me back to harbourbay.

Btw if u can haggle taxi prices if u take by the roadside cheapest 40,000 rupiah for a trip to harbourbay from nagoya hill got before i was charge only 30,000 but tats me
