Cant remember the rates for formosa hotel. but that is basically a 4 star hotel. About 250K rupiah a nite. MUCH BETTER THAN HOTEL 81 in singapore lah!

ask her to return by 1130? Hahahha, maybe she would run away with the 50K rupiah and look for another man. Or do a quickie before 1130pm.

Weekdays hotels should be cheaper and less crowded. Fridays and sat are the busiest.

Taxi from BCS to formosa? 30k? I am not sure. Got to ask at BCS downstairs. OR hitch a ride from friends.

It is up to you then, what you want to do here in batam. I believe enough info has been given to you. And be more careful with your personal belongings when you are here.

Helo, I'd never been to Batam so here to gather some infos. I have been reading the Batam threads for over a year, now I think is the time for me to make my first move.

Did anyone here stayed in Batam View Resort before?

1.Is this hotel far away from the pick up joints?
2.Is this place girls friendly?
3.How much for taxi fare to get to town?
4.What recreations do I have from this hotel, for example does it really have a beach where I can swim?

I saw a promotion here in JB, total for 1D/1N, breakfast and ferry fares(JB duty free zone boarding) is RM250 (single) during weekdays. RM270 Weekends. For double occupancy only RM170 each.
I am not sure if I heard the person from the travel agency correctly. But she said I have option to stay 1 more night free. I saw their website, their advertising rates are much more higher. I will post more after buy the package which I think will be next week. Anybody want join me also can PM me as I am newbie to Batam. Thank you.

Batam View Beach Resort? Located in Nongsa one???

Not near to city where the fun is woh.. if I am correct. Let's see..

I count from SG side, so JB maybe slightly different.

Hotel for 1 day + breakie + Ferry.

Ferry = SGD34 (two ways inclusive tax both ways to Harbour Bay)
Hotel = SGD66 (Estimated value if you take a nice hotel, I took 4 star one)

Total = SGD100

Located near disco, easy to town and Harbour Bay. Of course unless if you are after a clean trip, though not to what I think as you ask about girl friendliness. Nongsa, gals might ask a lot for the taxi to go back esp if they stay in Nagoya.

I stayed at Formosa 3 weeks ago on a Fri and Sat. The room rates were 350000 and 380000 Rupiah respectively. Rooms were clean and cosy. Staff very helpful. The nice thing about staying there is the KTV Alisan is in the same building. U can pick a gal there and bring her back to yur room. Can even have a massage in your room. As the other bro said, it is nicely placed for other cheonging places too. Enjoyable.

Ferry from JB duty free zone is around RM100 roundtrip. The advertised rate for the Batam View Beach Resort according to their website is SG130 and up. So the package I saw is quite a bargain. But I am still waiting to gather the information for the taxi rate to go in town. And also if I picked a girls from the MP/KTV will the charged me extra for the longer travel hotel. If too ex, the I better off stay in town hotel like the Formosa.

Estimated charges, though I am not entirely sure.

Nongsa to Town could be around 60kRp to 70kRp, that's the cost of travelling to Waterfront from Nagoya.

To and forth would be ~140kRp. And the gal would definitely ask for taxi tips as the distance is so faraway. So if it adds up, could be 200kRp extra in total.

Besides, staying so faraway means not much night activities, which is quite no no for me.

Centralized.. but I wouldn't say good, in such a busy road, and did hear complains bout it, and to say the price 350k, hmmm.. 460k can get super big balcony in another 4* hotel woh.. lol.. 375k for normal. Impt is near to where you wanna go I guess.
