Aiyoyo....When in a foreign country still want to eat Thai food hah.... This is not right leh..

Frankly, the Thai food in Shanghai are not up to standard...for your TG it's propbaly didn't even taste like Thai food at all....

Be adventureous and step out of the box........ The world got so many different kind of food that we can enjoy.

Cheong places in Shanghai that (i think) best worth money (<200RMB) and provide good service:

1. PuDong Nan Rd (near NanMa Tou Rd): FJ ~150RMB, HJ ~50RMB. MM ~19-30 yrs old. Very willing and treat you like BF. Good ambience.

I only go to HangZHou and Shanghai recently on my maiden trip in mid-Nov... I can't have much to contribute as I only on tourist visit.... Neber have lucky chance (YET!!) to work and live there, like you lor...

But while we were in SHA, mostly cheong bars and discos in Mao Ming Nan Lu....many FLs there and the gals are pretty ! But they costa bomb for a shot (like RMB 1000 ave for ST).. so did not bother at all... we didi not try any HC or salons as we got our cows with us.... sigh! on hindsight, maybe shouldn't have asked them to come down... but will definitely try your valuable recommendations when we visit PRC later next year....

Hi to all brother here. I'm new to Shanghai but was an old supporter to Sam Forum back in S'pore.

I had already been here for 3mths but still don't know about the cheong places down here. Thanks to brother PRCheong posting that i found my direction to go.

Had been walking nearby area of Lau Shan Dong Lu after seeing brother PRCheong posting. But too bad, there's too many Hair Saloon in the surrounding area. So still not sure of which one to go in. Brother PRCheong, do you have the exact name of all those places?
