This is the information that I have gathered from some sources.
Basically prostitution in Singapore is not a crime, there is nothing wrong if you are caught with your pants down with a girl in the HC or Tuina. The AV cannot charge you with anything, however, most AV people wants to act tough and say something harsh because many people thought it is a crime.
However, they will just take down your particulars not to inform you of any STD or Aids but basically to summon you to act as a witness for DPP if the girls are to be charged in court.

1. The registering of names/IC & police checking against the roster is true.

2. You will be questioned and particulars taken down, this is for comparing against the database of known criminals or cases under investigation (same as when you are caught in a roadblock).

3. You WILL NOT be asked to go to the police station unless you are caught in the act of copulation itself. So there is no such thing as bail required. Even if you are asked to report to the police station, it will be at a later period within a given time frame.

4. You will be asked to be a witness only if the gal dispute the charges. However the witness will not be required to appear in court, only to sign the affidavit documents.

5. Prostitution is not a crime in Singapore within the authorised boundaries, only solicitation.

Some brudders may query my information sources so just to answer them, I had the opportunity to study the common & criminal law as one of my past subjects before.
