Danok Lastest update - Page 125

Done a bit of research since I might be heading up to Danok end of this month. Put together a map based on the resources that I found. Maybe the shifus here can make some corrections, additions, or clarifications?

I thought a final version of the map with colour coding for the accommodations, eateries, cheong joints, fish tanks, etc. would be helpful for first timers to Danok. If shifus can share photo of the places front door would be nice also. Makes it easier for noobs to locate and identify the places.

After the Bangkok and Dongguan trip, I will be in hibernating mode until next year means no more cheonging trips except business diving trip with take-away from Hatyai towards to the end of the year in Krabi.

Bro, got to apologise that the timing is completely off!. I thought i can meet up you guys in Danonk on Sunday. Anyway, since you guys went back on Sunday Morning, i cancelled my trip to danonk and stay back in Hatyaai instead.Maybe next time.Cheers!

Bro since you are in Hatyai how is the scene over there....I heard it is quite and slowly dying off....what is your opinion since you are there!

I always tao pau from Hatyai when i am in Danok....so I must put up 1 or 2 night to do some exploring....!

Just back from 3 days in Danuk and I must say it has changed much since I last cheong there in the 90's. Have learnt much and also enjoyed myself there. I practically fell in love and of cos I been scammed and worse I almost had to extend my stay cos the bus driver drove off without me.
I busy now preparing for my flight to Angeles City tomolo but I do want to share my painful experience with others here so that they do not suffer the same fate as me. I got burnt but its no big deal to me cos its worth the lesson learnt. Kinda of fun.
Beware of a woman on a motorcycle who has a SYT as pillion and come up to you and offer services cheap. She will ask for payment in advance and the SYT will stay with you for the service but eventually she will find an excuse to run away before the deed. Advise is to insist on the pay after system on such offers. The irony of it all is when I went down stairs from the hotel, another lady on a motorcycle with another SYT came up to offer me her service. I laughed and told her she too late.Hahaha.
Food: Wow, I am impressed with the price of seafood sold by the vendors. Cheap n good n fresh!
Hotel: To each his own. Your expectations=Your price. I stayed at F4 and am happy with RM40/nite. Interior was clean and water pressure strong. Previous nite was in Changlung Hotel at RM42/nite but did not like the interior. Also the security was very suspect cos the windows could not be secured.
Bus: Booked my ticket back to Sg from the counter besides the immigration at RM90 for Transnational at 7pm. I advise all to go thru Thai immigration in advance and wait for the bus to arrive. I was asked by the agency to wait at the office and join the bus when it arrived, the bus just left with me still in my queue. It was desperate hitch hiking to catch up with the bus at the Malaysian side. And the driver said: " I know you will join up with us sooner or later. Don scold me". Hmmmmph.
That's about all of my experience in Danuk last week. Scold me or suan me for being stupid for being scammed. But my aim here is to share with you all so that you will not suffer same.

Actually to my suprised this trip in Hatyaai, most of the farms were stocked with quality Syt. Only the mommy in 'Wonderful"made me laugh! Selling two ugly gal and told us is model! Somemore asked for baht3,500! Really tiu!

Hahahahh sometime she thought we are blind or something wrong with our eyes....I have been through this kind of situation before.... I can imagine!

The next trip I am going to do some exercise and walk though through Thong Sau, SKY and finally Chanivat 2 and 3. It have been a long time since I have done that already.

Don't worry as next time please go with the shifus over as they are experienced which means they have gone through all the shits to be in Shifu status.....through their experience and sexperience...you will enjoy without any hiccups.....but as long as you enjoy no big deal.....hahahah!
