On the issue of gifting, I think some of us just like the idea of it. It's like pampering the girlfriend/mistress and they just want to have the feeling of it.
Like how most of us become a different person when we enter the Room.
Girls will always be girls, they won't say no to gifts and they always like being pampered too.
I do give gifts, but those practical kinds that help them like washing powder, shampoo etc. If they need them. Expensive gifts, they can.afford themselves, and I do not know them well enough or want to know them well enough to Buy what they like. So I always avoid these kind of conversations. Majority of the MLs I met received gifts of all kinds. But those who post and "goad" customers on WC, I get turned off and delete them off.
And you know what's the really funny thing that those Roberts w motive don't seem to comprehend? Most of the typical gifts showered on these MLs, they can EASILY afford. So unless is big time players give luxury jewellery / watch that cost a limb, even the latest handphone is just a 4 digit item..how will a lady that easily rake in 5 digits revenue be GENUINELY wowed lol

I can't mention names but there's this ML who's been here for some time. Practically non existent in this thread. Maybe one or two comments about her, and not even favourable. She just goes about her business. She has accrued enough money ,through time, to buy more houses in China than you can count on one hand. Of course some houses she flipped and reinvested, but the point is, this is a lucrative business for them. The cost of a high end handphone... its just change in their pocket.
Photos look recycled though I can't put my finger on when/where. Pretty sure I've seen her on SGLonely for a period of time. No comment on her actual service though as I've never patronised.

Agree, agree and agree. End of the day the crux of the matter is giver shouldn't expect a miracle by giving and receiver should not be the kind that like to exploit or play KC games. That's my rule of thumb.
I am more of the Grabfood delivery type lol, I bring meal when my visiting time is meal time. More of a humane gesture than to impress. Only a small handful of MLs i ever bought simple gifts that don't cost a bomb. And all are practical stuff. You know the recipients is not the freebies hunter when all they do is either thank you sincerely and/or WeChat you privately to show you they consume /use the thing you buy..not publicly showing off

On your second point, this is gamemanship with no winners on the guys' side. You escalate things by getting her a $1.5k item, another one comes in with a $2k gift and so forth. The "last man standing" is considered the "winner" simply because nobody tops his, say, $5k stake.

I’m not gonna complain about those roberts... in fact i should thank them, I think I’ve indirectly been a beneficiary to some of their gifts lol. The ml that I visit regularly seem to receive quite a number of gifts but she can’t be bothered to open any of them. She makes me open those gifts whenever I visit her and lets me take whatever I like. But of cos I won’t be so thick skinned and take everything hahah.
Moral of the story is that more often than not, the MLs don’t care for the gifts. At the end of the day it’ll just be the giver throwing their money away without getting anything in return.
