I believed most of you are from SG... same for me as well. I travel there monthly for pleasure and Thailand... a switch between the 2. 3 to 4 years back, I will spend on places such as MZ, Napoly and etc be it for the girls or for the music. Honestly speaking, the Napoly girls back then are way much better than the current though I am still in contact with my regular few. Most of them have already left working at that place. As mentioned not long ago, some MZ girls have also left for Napoly. I still kind of like the band and singers at Napoly. Now, I will only drop by occasionally if not I will prefer the band at 17 Salon anytime. Maybe because of the songs they sing been more suitable for me. Personally, on my own free time if I am not with friends from SG or Malaysia who needed me to bring them around... I will normally hang out at cafes in Q1 or Q5, depending on what I like for the day. I go for value these days rather than high priced drinks. For 30k or so, over a normal drink like coke or coconut, the girls at these cafes won't lose out to what you see in MZ or Napoly given the current standard now. Especially the one that I frequent, easily both shifts, a handful are not bad. Further to that, there are so many cafes especially in D5. There are more than enough to entertain your days and nights. The only thing that I dislike is when the pretty deejays, spinning at 8pm and 9pm when the indoors are packed with smokers and I was nearly choked at one time, sat out for some fresh air. Oh well, this is Vietnam. I will share as much as I could with the little knowledge I know about HCMC but I am sure many of you here are so much better and more to share than me. Re: Vietnam - HCM (Thread 3)
Rolls Royce
Betty Boop 2F 138 Ton That Dam St Q1 HCMC As I recently wrote about Betty Boop, 1 floor down on the 2nd floor is another similar concept type kind of bar like Napoly or MZ by the name of Rolls Royce. Hmm... personal opinion, don't waste your time at this place. The girls are not fantastic and their attitude differs the standard of Napoly. For a Thursday, customers were few and the girls looks really bored, busy playing with their handphones and chatting rather than entertaining you. As for the band, they are rotational so I can't really comment much. Some are ok... some are just hmm... maybe I am not at the level to appreciate Vietnam songs yet... like some songs but not plenty. 3 of us, 3 drinks, close to 700,000 dong... left the place with the drinks unfinished in half an hour and hopped over to 17 Salon instead. Re: Vietnam - HCM (Thread 3)
I have a question, as I was reading along this forum, I realized that there are some things you guys don't share to protect the secrecy of the places. Is there are guideline to what we should share and what we should not?

Re: Vietnam - HCM (Thread 3)
Thanks Jack bl for mentioning. I have hinted for a long time to whomever considering VN ladies that there are differences between VN ladies who speak english and those who do not. And also those whose speak Tieng Hoa and those who do not.
Simply said, there are those of us who are very tired of GCB attitude in Singapore, and so we go HCM looking for a more feminine personality amongst VN ladies. And chances are these feminine personality can be found likely in VN Ladies who are not tieng anh speaking or tieng hoa speaking. Still, it depends on luck to find one lady with feminine personality that one is comfortable with, but the rate of success is definitely higher than looking amongst GCBs in singapore or looking only in the pool of Tieng anh or tieng hoa speaking VN ladies. We have better luck with ladies who speak only Tieng Viet. I hope I do not spill the secret out too much. And to those who only go HCM for occasionally visits. No need to learn tieng viet. You can survive well in HCM using english. Just remember to bring your SGD. Enjoy VN hospitality. It is a nice place.

CPI in Vietnam moving up. This is good news for saviours like us to save those pretty ladies from poverty. I just found out 50% of the population is below 30 in Vietnam. No wonder there are so many young chicks around the city.

Re: Vietnam - HCM (Thread 3)
Thanh Nien exposé busts fake beer business in Vietnam metro. Ho Chi Minh City police Wednesday arrested four men believed to be members of a ring that produced and traded in fake products of world famous beer brands Heineken and Tiger. The arrests followed a Thanh Nien exposé. A Thanh Nien reporter found the fake beer, which is a mixture of a local beer Saigon with Heineken or Tiger, being produced in the 20-square-meter room of a house belonging to Vo Thanh Cong, 44. Cong’s house is situated in an alley in Tan Binh District. Workers there deliver the beer and collect money in the morning and gather in the room with lots of beer bottles and a fridge with beer of the three brands, at around 8 p.m. for making the fake beer. The beer in ice for six to seven hours to prevent the gas from rising and beer from overflowing when mixed. Two of six male workers, without gloves and protective clothes, pour half of the beer from a 330-ml Heineken or Tiger bottle into an empty one of the same brand. Two others pour Saigon beer into the two bottles to make it full, before one put caps on the bottles for the last worker to close it firmly. Following Thanh Nien’s submission of evidence, the economic crimes investigation division (PC46) caught Thach Muone, 23, on Tuesday morning when he was carrying seven cases of Tiger beer to an eatery in Tan Binh and failed to produce bills for the beer. Muone confessed that Cong had ordered him to deliver the beer. Police then raided Cong’s house and seized another 17 cases of Heineken, 38 cases of Tiger and two cases of Saigon beer, a machine to fix the caps to the bottles, several beers bottles and caps and papers related to the business. Cong told police that his gang produced at least 60 cases of fake beer every day to sell to several restaurants and eateries in the city with prices of VND235,000-255,000 (US$11.2-12.1) per case for Tiger and VND310,000 per case for Heineken. Each case has 24 bottles. Some workers who used to work for Cong said on condition of anonymity that Cong and his workers bought the used Heineken and Tiger beer bottles and caps from restaurants and eateries. These were cleaned with alcohol, dried and used for filling the spurious beer. They said the fake beer has to be used very soon, or it would get spoiled. They also said that chemical residues after cleaning the bottles made the beer impossible to keep for a long time. Police on Wednesday arrested Cong, Muone and two other men, Le Van Tuan, 35, and Do Quat Chi, 45, to investigate the fraud further.
