Anyway, high chance of raid on festive months. M keeping low profile for the moment, and CNY in less than 3 months time leh, so relax abit.

Hi grey82. Gambling is not allowed in Hotel81s. I have not heard of any restrictions against playing card games like strip poker in any hotel.

Raids in hotels in the middle of the night in Malaysia are probably by those anti khalwat vigilante groups.

I do think there is a difference as told by a buddy. For those transit hotels, they normally booked you into the 2nd or 3rd storey only if you are booking for transit (1 or 2 hrs) stay, but for tourists with at least a couple days of stay, you will be checked into higher floors. I think the raids are normally on those transit rooms only, maybe experience SBF bros can verify?

Not really sure if this statement are true though... As few years back, I did kanna a 'check' during 1 night stay at one of the budget hotel along Balestier...

That time there's 2 couple in the room... Me, my gf (ex now), her sister, and her bf... (We booked 2 room though... 1 for us, and the other for her sis and her bf...) We were drinking and playing card games in the room, when the police came... And it was about 2am !!

Again, not much stuff as just 'routine' check... Just asked us simple question like what we doing in the room etc...

hmm, imho why are you guys worried about AV raiding?

Consensual sex between 2 adults of different sex is not illegal in Singapore, even if the other party is a foreigner. Commercial sex is only allowed in legalised brothel and within that compound.

Pimping is illegal if you operate without licence from the relevant autority.

Therefore you can only be caught if the pimp sold you/ got caught and the police have evidence of the transcations. Or when they come knocking on the door, the FL told them that you are paying for sex.

Usually when the AV comes raiding, it is to see if the FL is an overstayer. If she is, they have got every right to bring YOU and her to the station. If not, you can always say that she is somebody you just met and agreed on a short fuck.

BTW, just for your information, even when AV raid GL, the girls are ALWAYS set free unless they have explicitly broken some laws like overstaying or AV have proof that the ladies publicly solicited for sex.

And also, even if you are invited to the station with them. Police MUST provide evidence that you have the intention/proof that you paid for sex with a non-licenced sex worker before they can charge you.

No such thing as asking your wife to come and bail you. If any officer dare to ask you such question, tell him to put it on record and ask them what are they charging you for.

My version, which I have heard from a seasoned pro, is to immediately say that she is a prostitute.

Apparently it's against the law to solicit but not against the law to pay for sex.

It becomes worse if you deny any form of payment as it is easy to verify that the girl is a prostitute and then you will be in trouble.

Any bros keen to comment?

i agree with mr missile. i think u speak more logically, like an old bird. pardon me pacificboy, but yr thinking was what I used to think like the common layman when I was younger. things are juz not as simple as u think.

i believe AVs oredi close many eyes liao. if not, u will see more frequent raids liao. afterall AVs also got their own KPIs to meet, like ourselves in our daily jobs. imagine boss see their report ... 'walauz sure or not, go out one week to spot check only 2 mei meis up the van ....'.

SWs oredi suffered a lot lately. if u frequent GL, u will see that Fri n Sat nites are usually the hot days which AVs like to do their rounds. if u r unlucky u may not even see SWs for a few hours.

sorry to dig up this thread, but today i checked into a more "up-market" transit hotel outside G area.

it cost twice as much as those h81/fragrance cos I want somewhere that is safer, but in the end still kena raid!

luckily my FB is a local (not underage), so police just check and RECORD our particulars inside the book.

now with the record, what the police going to do? the hotel used to require 2 IC to check in, but today the cashier lazy and say no need to record both.

now i am worried that if police check against hotel guest list and found that my name is missing, are they going to call me up to testify against the hotel?

sigh...paid double for a safer tranist hotel but still kena raid...
