hi to all, im a newbies here. came across this forum, where all the topic is about vietnam life partner.. haha, cool, so i like to share something with your so yr can get a better picture.. and yes, i have a vietnam wife, im 29, she is 33, we been married for 1 year plus already, we came to know each other in a friend wedding back in singapore 2 years ago. and we been together ever since after.
well, currently im in vietnam doing my air con business which is manage by her and my bro in law.
and yes, before i came to invest here, i do heard alot about vietnam wife cheating of their spouse money, having bf outside... etc, watever u can hear.. Or even wat u wont expect would happen, u can find it here in vietnam.
haha, but for my wife, she has been very understanding to me, always there for me whenever i feel very down or watsoever. haha, and very lucky for me, my wife family most can speak chinese and english, and we can communicate well over here.
well, for u to understand more about vietnam, guess u must really come here and understand more about their culture, life style. and yes, most of the family here depend mostly on the girl side to bring back the income for the house.(THAT IS FROM WAT I OBSERVE FROM THE POOR FAMILY).
during my time here, i really learn alot from my wife, and i really respect watever she has done for this wonderful family of ours.
And last, to all brothers out there who have vietnamese spouse, we should try to sit down with our spouse and try to understand them more then rather they understand us more, because, she is the life partner u have chose to be with and spend the rest of your life with her.. understanding their culture better will bring you on the right track..
feel free to check with me for anything under the sun.
will get back to you guys asap..
cheers.

Good for you bro. It is indeed a blessing to be able to marry a wonderful wife who cares for the husband and the family. Marriage Bliss is always something that most people ask for. My wives (both) are good, care for the family and me. But what i always expect of them is to be truthful. They are always welcome to discuss matters with me, i am very open. I find the `guessing game' something that erodes the happiness in a relationship. But trust takes time to build up and my wives have gained my trust, and vice versa, for the last few years. Vietnamese life partners are caring, loving and understanding. But if you marry the wrong ones, it can turn out to be a horrifying experience.

Hi bro,
Thanks for sharing and good to hear you have a blissful marraige.
Indeed you have spoken correctly of them. My gf is the youngest in the family and both parents depended on her to put food on the table. While in Vietnam, I witness her ability to take charge of the family expenses wisely. Regardless in SG or VN, she took care of my needs and are always there for me. She too understand and speak mandarin and English so communication was not an issue.
I agreed with you and other bros that being open to each other is the key to a happy realtionship with them. And becos of the different culture it is advisable to make an effort to understand them. At first it may not make sense of the things they do but we must be open to ask respectfully. Be patient and respectful to them and one will be rewarded with a caring wife. Even the sex was out of this world

recently, immigration seems to be more relax to viet girls entering singapore. almost everyone is given one month upon entry and approving more internet extension.

I just came back to SG on 28th Sept with my gf. Out of 10 gals, 3 were rejected entries. My personal observation but may not be the reason for thier rejection:
gal 1 = heavy make-up, wore skantily. On the phone when officer questioning her(my gf says it is a bad idea). Half an eye can tell she is her to work
gal 2 = 1st time to SG, do not understand simple English, mandarin.
gal 3 = carry only $300 SGD
My gf suggested she Q behind me and we choose the counter with male officer. When Q-ing we chatted until my turn came and the officer told me S'porean can use the auto self service thumb print scan gate. I know about it but purposely didn't use it. I moved to the self service gate and make my way out. Then immediately stand outside the counter where my gf is and waietd for her. The officer only ask her how many days she will be here and chopped her passport. They did not check her airticket nor the money she brought along.
May not be a fool-proof plan but it did work for us. She told me one of her friend also hook up with a SG bf did the same method a few days back and pass the gate smoothly.

Actually u can approached the counter together with ur gal. Just declare that ur gal is ur gf to the officer and after the usual questioning, the officer will take down ur name. And i always help my gal to answer all the questions; she dont even need to answer anything.
btw i also choose counter with male officer hahaha. seems that they are more forgiving. I ever kanna 1 mdm officer, was questioned for like 15mins, and seems very reluctant to chop my gal passport.

IMHO the Immigration Officer will let ur gf go through without much questioning becos they afraid u complain. Singaporean r 'FOC'.
