The timing of your trip was lucky.
There was a change of security personnel and also changes in procedures at DMIA airport wef 01 November 2010. The new security team are outsiders brought in specifically to man DMIA and prepare the groundwork for the conversion of DMIA into Phillipines International Airport to replace the Ninoy airport in Manila.

But knowing the culture of the pinoys, I would forecast a return to hanky panky ways at DMIA in a couple of months after the locals get used to the new guys.

CLARK FREEPORT -- Foreign tourists should not worry about visiting Central Luzon since strict security measures are implemented in its airport, an aviation official said.

Hi Bro,

Many thanks to you and others for the encouragement. Despite all those unfriendliest people here in the past few years that tried to get rid of me or at least silence me, to my surprise, I'm still around and with good members like yourself, I will be around alot longer

Cheers

As I stated before, went on a first time side trip to Boracay with another wingman (he is not a member here but goes by the title : Shark) that wanted to do all the diving stuff. Since one of you guys PM me for info, I just wanted let you know I will forward any info needed on Boracay if you request it.

Generally speaking, things are more expensive there, a pain in the ass to reach, cheonging is at a bare minimum.

Plus side: diving is ok (other locations in PI are better for diving) but not too expensive and if you know where to go, a sunset chair on the beach with a SM beer only cost 25p.

Re: Angeles City (Balibago) Tips

To answer a few that have PM me,
Yes, I am now a creature of habit, having spent so many years in AC. I now mainly do most of my barhop /beer runs like a typical Ang Mo. =going at happy Hours.
That way it's the cheapest way to go to the maximum # of bars and view the talent inside and not worry about having to finish the beer and move on as it will be cheap enough at those hours.
I know some have thoughts about that thinking: why not just go inside look at the talent and then leave if nothing suits you? For most of you visiting just a few days and not going to AC often it won't affect you. But for me that visits more frequently and spend alot more time there it has a much bigger effect on me as the gals often remember me and have a better take on me if I stay for a cheap beer and not walk in and out all the time without staying for at least a beer. Trust me, many at the bars do have good memories and will remember who walks in and out and do this often enough at the same bar, you will be remembered by all and not in a good way.

BTW: this is strictly IMO -in my opinion.

That depends as I am trying to determine if you are asking 2 separate questions. House pouring drinks, I assume you mean mix drinks or shots and this is often more than the typical SML unless it is part of what the bar considers a "local drink"-- like a rum and coke mix at Happy Hrs.

And the price of SML varies alot. Depends on if you are visiting Fields ave or Perimeter and if you are going at Happy Hours (off hours) or peak hours.
So the same SML could vary from bar to bar and hour to hour( In general, the later it is the more it will cost), costing as little as 35p to well over 125p.

During Happy hrs, the local mix drink and SML and even a plain soda are usually the same price. ***If you are ordering a mix drink and unsure always ask the waitress if the drink you had in mind is consider a local drink as the price could increase dramatically if you are wrong.

Re: Angeles City (Balibago) Tips

I tried to do that as well barhop during Happy Hours like The Ang Mohs do... But it seemed to me to be a pain in my butt tryin to remember who has happy hour and who has not. Cause some happy hours end at 6pm while others at 7pm and yet others at 8pm or 9pm... Correct me if i am wrong.

Also when i went to Road House they had a 1 for 1. So you get 2 drinks for 85p i think and then ofcourse how to barhop with 2 drinks to finish. So i did the best i could. Left 1 beer untouched and then left the bar.

Dude you will do well to read up the last 10 pages atleast. You will get a good idea of the situation in AC.

Take some time to read bro.

BTW i love sizzling sisig too though i am not a fan of liver.

Another thing i loved eating was the sliced cucumbers in vinagrette with chilli padi. Quite Shiok..

Re: Angeles City (Balibago) Tips

To the best of my knowledge and understanding everything is negotiable (Excluding the BF or EWR).

For eg you can negotiate for a special price to ring the bell. And yes you can also negotiate for a special price for drinks if you are buying a lot.

Anyway you look at it the bar is making money. So they wont refuse negotiation.

Re: Angeles City (Balibago) Tips

I usually do not stay at Fields area. I stay at Ramada Inn, Medgar, Tiger, Sunset Garden, Perimeter Hotel etc to name a few.

So bro phantomtiger or others would be able to advise you better.
