just back from Saigon this afternoon after my last visit in mid October 2005..

Bros here who read my post previously will know that I missed my dream gal so this trip is to see her again As I knew the gal who sat with me last time is still on Tet vacation and I don't really want to see her as now she sms me for handphone and dog. I am trying my luck to see whether my dream gal is working on Sat nite when I landed. When I arrived Co Digan, I went in to look for her but could not see her..perhaps too many cutomers around...a bit disappointed and took out my camera phone to ask the bouncer whether my dream gal working tonite. Then nowhere she appeared and surprisingly recognised me and can see her sweet smile again...

As usual order a 35cl Hennessy VSOP and start the drinking and holding...from time to time, she need to go to another table to entertain as they came before I arrived..she will ask colleagues to keep me occupied but those gals dun quite like my hugging action...sian so keep looking at my dream gal from afar...

The nite was memorable as she didn't reject my lip kiss when I tried....when bar closing we gave each other a good hug and I back to hotel.

Spent the entire Sunday on trip to My Tho and Ben Tre for sightseeing...

When trip ended around evening time, called up a Viet gal whom I met in JC this year as she mentioned can introduce gal for overnite. Met them for dinner and the intro gal seems pleasant looking though not the slim type I like. After dinner, I suggest go to a new bar which just opened 2 weeks ago called Notnhacvui @ Pham Ngoc Thach. I simply like go bar to check out gals. Also, I would like to see how responsive the intro gal was and can then decide whether to overnite. While at the bar, got a sms from the dream gal to ask me go down to bar and look for her...was undecided as if I go will mean no one to overnite since I dun think the dream gal would go overnite with customer. Anyway, the new bar has a live band and singers and played those techno in between break. Lounge sofa filled up quickly...waitresses look not bad but pretty one, my dream gal type again is manning the bar counter..

After testing the intro gal responsive, decided to take her back to the same hotel I stayed before. After shower, asked her to give massage as I tired with the sightseeing..I was surprised she gave a good massage and then she told me she worked in MP before. You all know that masseue like to tickle your didi when their hands near our groin area..the feeling / sensation at that moment is so heaven with those different stroking...damn high liao..ok the rest normal routine....

Woke up about 9.30 am and had shower together. She wanted to meet her friends for coffee so I asked whether can follow. One motive is to see how the locals went for morning coffee and the other motive is to check out her friends.. The coffee place is called Cat Dang..quite nice with garden setting...friends (working in MP) came and their looks nothing to say about..the intro gal told me she's going to Singapore also on my return flight but I thought she is kidding... how can so coincidence..

At boarding gate really bumped into the intro gal with her sister...asked intro her to sleep on my lap throughout the journey...after landing..many Viet gals need to go into customs office for questioning...I will leave this part out as better not said about their stay here..met their handlers oso and they thought I am one..

Have already a confirmed trip back to Saigon in mid April..btw, the damage for the intro gal is VND 1,000,000.

to be honest, i do not fancy singapore food here in HCMC.

The food court in Mei Linh Point sucks big time. From the Chendol to the Hor Fun, i do not know if they really know how to cook singapore food. My wife, a vietnamese, also told me that the food sucks big time after we went there. We decided never to return again.

As for little red dot, i have been there with fellow samsters before. The food is not bad, quite original. But the bill isn't very original.... the food is actually very expensive. My wife and i also went there once and decided not to go again.

As for the hainanese chicken rice, i have not been there before thus i cannot comment.

I do miss singapore food but it seems that its difficult to find a reasonably priced and original tasting singapore food place here in HCMC. If having some teh terek and some plates of mee is going to cost me over S$70, then i will rather eat local vietnamese food.

Thank you for your REPLY message. It has been very helpful. My partner runs a coffee-shop in Singapore and is familiar with several hawkers who really cook typical local food in its very traditional way.

I have talked to Fred from the Mei Linh Point Food Court, he asked for a Take-Over Fees which I rejected flatly without any further negotiation. Eric from Little Red Dot is doing well but his new Fusion in PARKSON, HCMC suckz BIG TIME because of the pricing! It is even more expensive than something we have in our typical food court or smaller-end restaurants.

Thus, learning from the 2 great examples and with more negotiations with my partner, I may just be the next best thing you find in HCMC the next time you visit.

Now, I have questions, if I should go in:

1. Should I do a Restaurant Concept (l may lost the local patrons because of the pricing)?
Price ranges: 25 000 - 250 000 Dongs per patron.
Buffet at 250 000 Dongs.

2. Or a Food Junction Concept (Will the expats still visit, having to sit around with the locals who may be loud and unhygience)?
Price ranges: 5 000 - 80 000 Dongs per patron.
Buffet at 80 000 Dongs.

Something similar to Food Junction concept will work better. It will attract the expats and locals. Many expats here seat around with the locals all the time. Those who can afford to go Food Court ot restaurant are not the bottom end of the society, this they are better.

From 1 Jul 06 onwards, Vietnam will allow import of second hand car.
There is some excitement in the car market now.
Some local businessmen have asked me if I know any good overseas suppliers.
Singapore second hand car is good, quality wise. But too bad, steering wheel on the wrong side....
Any bros can make connections? wanna make money???

Wah Bro, going into car business? good good. I read from news that some dealers already stocking up 2nd hand cars already. But at the same time, it seems that new car prices will drop further.

It's Good News to me too! I have called my partner and given him a "Green Light" to go ahead with the HCMC plan; our Food Junction should be ready by July. Currently we have several ideal locations in Dist.1, 3 and 5.

I will be back in Singapore from 6-18 March. During this period, may take 3 or 4 days to fly to HCMC to do a ground check myself. Samsters in HCMC, please PM me. I would love to meet up with you guys to have your opinions.
