Did not take up their offer cos don't know what will happened after the talk. Any bros got such experience?

This days many "Vacation Club" (version 2.0 of timeshare) is working out of Phuket as Singapore already saturated.

Many will offer you a discounted rate so they can "present" to you. First time I hear they are even offering at the airport.

Concept same as what they used to do in Orchard Road.

Some reputable hotels like Marriott I guess its ok to attend if you want the freebie. Some others you must able to "tahan" their selling. Depends on what company is "selling" to you.

Actually a friend will be getting married in Phuket and need to move a round for a few days . Taxi maybe pricey when you are not sure where you would like to go , hence having the luxury of time is at my disposal . Hence , driving may be a preferred choice . THanks .. bro .

Yes, been there and done it before last Aug. Don't need IDL, if yours is Sg one. Plenty local car rental joints (outside the usual Hertz, Avis) presumably with more competitive rates and service to boot. Pick you and return car at airport.

Did FR here last Aug, with details and my experience driving around island. If you moving about, good option. Not difficult to navigate (didn't have to rely or pay wee bit extra for GPRS), just use the free map. Just be careful with night driving around (no real street lights to speak of), especially wet and winding (hilly) stretches. Day driving's a cinch, as you are mobile (given your plans). Driver is convenient, but don't think you need a chauffeur. Taxis and tuk tuks don't come cheap either.

Thailand recognises Singapore and Malaysia driving licences. And of course Thai Licence. Folks from any other countries need to have the Intl Driving Licence to be recognised, otherwise can be considered as driving/riding illegally.

Well, that's what i read from somewhere.....could be the government webby but cant remember....
