as for compensation, i actually felt that the magpies deserve to get compensation from the FA. Sven knew he wasnt fully fit and just returned from a near crippling injury but still insisted on playing owen... in this case, i felt that newcastle were shortchanged. the guy got injured and right after coming back, he was whisked to play for his country. then he suffered an injury which cost newcastle the whole season without owen. they paid 17mil for how many games??? but of course, that is just my personal opinion.

yup, 77 season. saw keegan play on tv... in my mid 30s now, old enough for u??? kekeke... but was tossed right into the action cos all my 4 uncles are (still are!!!) liverpool fans. we always get liverpool jerseys for our birthdays. saturday nites will be spent by the radio listening to BBC for updates and magazines arrive a month late then. in the 80s, we would spend sunday afternoons watching highlights and listening to my uncles arguing about tactics and stuff. u can imagine chinese new year nowadays when we still spend our time arguing about tactics, who to buy and sell in between our blackjack games. my whole family r liverpool fans and my mum spends her time to watch which player scored and go bet the numbers on toto!!!

That's why my wife is fully aware she can never fight with LFC for my love & attention.
In fact, she's a converted Red too ... although she is still not fully conversant with the rules & tactics involved in the game.

my ideal partner actually should also be a liverpool fan, but my present OC isnt. she knows nuts about football and isnt very interested. but i appreciate that she would still watch it with me... so now, she understands the offside rule. but she doesnt understand why i still refuse to take down my liverpool sticker from my car when it is so obvious that it is the reason why it gets scratched so many times!!!

Hey bro, i'm glad i'm not the only one who thought that our Agger was inspired by messi-donna... but i personally feel that Agger did better, though he his dribble didn't result in a goal... for the simple fact that he's a centreback... and he's a dane... he's got a sweet and wicked left foot too!

Moving on to speedy, i think he's getting more confident with more games. we'll definitely see him come out much better next season. really loved the way he tried his flicks on the wigan defender earlier.

Lastly, back to our Pennant, this guy is really showing what he can do! seems also like he performs much better with Arbeloa overlapping him...

Finally, kewell was rumoured to be involved in this match, but turns out it didn't happen. i'm really wondering, it may be because he's still not fully fit (which i doubt so, as not too long ago, i saw him involved in a training session clip) or Rafa knows something we all don't...

Cracking nice results from the team.

I got to absorb more of Pennant's abilities. His confidence was monumental. His dancing on the ball near the end shows he is really enjoying his football now. Early on in the season he seemed worried about trying things for fear of stuffing them up. A lot of pressure was on his shoulders given that he never was our first choice right winger but he is getting better and better with each game. Must give credit to the guy.

Gonzalez showed supreme pace with just his final ball still letting him down. Showed better confidence though near the end and hopefully a sign of things to come.

Agger is potential abundance, loved the impressive forward run. Hopefully we'll be seeing more of that from him.

Kuyt looked ace and his second goal was very well taken. Aldo has given Kuyt MOM ,he said it was his best performance in a LFC shirt.

All in all everything looks good leading up to the Chelski game.

No one mentioned Bellars looked great, hungry and strong on his return from injury.

And on top of the Evershite "small club" beating, Scum just got held to a draw by Boro. About time too, after all the Ronaldo antics. If the ref had any guts, he would have given Boro a penalty in the dying mins too.

Since Rafa has been at the helm, our tightest defence has ensured that not many teams in the EPL or even Champions League can pose much threat ... our problem has always been the consistent ability in breaking down the resilience put up by the opposite defence, especially that of teams who trained all week just to get a single point off us.

That's not the top yet ... over at the Theatre of Nightmares, Manure finally ran out of luck when they only got 1 point off Boro!! This after opening the scoring in the 3rd minute some more ... although I didn't stay up to watch, reports suggest Boro kept bullying the frail defence they almost got away with all 3 points!!!

Well, the only mitigation I can offer is that Bellars has been doing this for a long time liao ... so perhaps, in our haste to sing praises of others who have shown improvements, we kinda took his efforts for granted.
Yes, I agree it was Bellar's hunger & pace which resulted in Kuyt getting the ball & the space to swivel, where the 2nd goal was concerned.

I mentioned Bellars cos I think we have missed his pace in the last few games where our play has slowed down quite a bit. He will be important against Chelsea for sure.
