That book was published many moons ago and it was in mandarin (if i didn't remember wrongly)

Hi guys, new to this site but i am gging CM this july (23-28) and wish to have some tip and recommendation on areas to explore from the experience bros here. My first trip there, initally wanted to visit girlfriend but end up broke up before i even went there feel free to bomb me with lots of ideas on places to explore and tips for this trip. If you can ride a motorcycle, rent a bike and move around......Nimman area for pub and clubs. Recently Chiangmai Land area getting more alive with new special message shop opening, worth trying.

Taxi (available in airport, central festival, airport plaza robinson, kad suan keaw etc shopping mall....not available for roadside hailing and dun use meter although is call "meter taxi").

Songthaew or red cab is public transport using pick up truck to run around in city but no fix route.....1st passenger will decide where to go and normally first person pay more maybe 50-100 baht, if you hail by the roadside, u got to tell him where you going and if is on the way you pay just 20 or 30 baht max, and press the bell inside to inform driver to stop. Problem of this transportation is good within the city but many small soi or slightly out of town area u can never see them.

Tuktuk, everyone should know them from bkk or anywhere in Thailand, need not explain more just the pricing to negotiate......I not too sure about pricing cos I drive and more than 10 years not on a tuktuk or redcab.

If you're out to party, public transport will be expensive some charging 200-300 baht for short distance.........especially after midnight in airport to pick guest to nearby city just 3-5km they charge 500 baht.......or u walk or wait until morning lor

The motorbikes rental there are 90% automatic transmission. If you can ride a bicycle you should have no problem riding a scooter there... and it is the best deal you could get to explore the city.
