I have read many books and listened to many theories on how to beat the odds on bacaraat, but none of it works, because, the house has all the safeguards in place to ensure your theories will not work against them. I have even worn my fav shirt, red underwears, abstain from sex, brought good luck charms, put small 7 legged frogs on the table, even throw sugar below the table to feed the ho hieah tees....etc, but you know the outcome.

I used to go with a bunch of buddies, some of them are still at it in RWS or MBS, but I can safely says that none have make money in the long run. A few sold off their properties to feed their gambling habit. With my own eyes, I have seen some big timers, betting $200K or more a hand, these are well known big local company chairman or CEOs that I know of. Some are rich Chinese or Indons that I do not know who they are. But the one thing you noticed, is the bigger the bet, the faster they disappear from the scene

Gambling is all luck. Human psychology plays an impt part. It's in our nature, when we win, we want more, when we lose, we bet bigger to try and recover, stopping only when the cash runs out. The house will always have an advantage. You can limit your damage if you play it smart. play games that have better odds. The key is knowing when to walk away, but it's easier said then done. The ones that knows how to control our own mind and not let emotions gets the better of you will come out better.

Agree that there are ppl out there who make $$ short term, but over a longer period, I am doubtful. It's also common to hear ppl talking abt how much they make, but not many will say how much they lose. Usually, they will low ball their losses, I admit I do that too.

I remember every Fri evening strategizing what to do before stepping into the casino, chest all pumped up......but by most sun morning feeling like a turkey..I don't know abt others, but I have difficulty in maintaining good discipline, there are many times I end up losing my profit + capital.....very sian and moody after that...cursing and swearing at myself for being stupid....not stopping when at on top. Maybe it's easier to walk away now on mainland casinos compared to those on the ship, where you have nothing else to do...

I would say casino gambling cannot be a regular thingy. Once in a while say every 3 months enter casino once should be ok.

I believe our 2 land casinos had already caused many people in debt why because they paid $2,000 annual levy to enter all these places everyday

It's so ironical, those who pays the $2K levy, think they are saving $$, but becos they are induced to maximise usage, probably will end up worse of than those who pays $100 per entry. My ex gambling buddy told me he goes RWS more often now, becos he wants to make full use of the yearly levy.....

I clearly remember I started on LW, gambling with $1K, bets were small $10/$50....soon graduated to Supertar Aquarious/Leo/Virgo...gambling with $20K and a blank cheque, opening an acc with junkets. Bets increased from $500 to several thousand. I sometimes gets hot, lose $1K, bet $2K, lose it again increase to $5K sometimes up to $10K... I am quite stubborn...I think some gamblers will know, if your luck is not with u, whichever side u bet is also wrong..

Chips are just plastic, no feel at all, but when I start to see my bank account dwindle, then reality starts to hit....Feel moody for a few days, however, come Fri, the whole episode repeats... I like to gamble, I luv the adrenaline rush...but having lost so much, you start to wonder..is it worth it??

just walk around the casino look look see see..wait till u see a crowd forming around a baccarat table.. then follow the crowd.. Everyone "yi tiao xin" bet on player or banker.. should be able to win a few rounds easily but must walk away once the "yi tiao long" is broken !

Dragon streaks sometimes very tricky. We can reduce our bets as the streaks went on. Never attempt to slay the dragons if not you will lose horribly

The $2,000 levy is only for 1 year not forever. Unless one year, you enter RWS or MBS more than 20 times in a year than more worth it than $100 day levy. And if one year annual expired, are you going to pay another $2,000 to buy another year

But it is not encouraging to spend long hours or even go casinos daily. This are not good places.
Gambling in RWS & MBS is very expensive affairs because of the levies imposed.

In addition, most regulars always incurred heavy losses.
