What i read in this thread, bros who visit Batam for PRCs or Chinese Indos are those who has some level of restriction to cheong in their own country,Sillypore. From their perspective,i believe they mainly has only 2 choices, one is dont cheong at all (or cheong with many worries) becos they cant do so with a peace of mind in their own land. 2nd choice will be Batam (maybe JB too),which is closest to Sillypore (about 45mins ferry away) and they can cheong with peace of mind, except the part that the price will be more. I still remember during my reservist days, some of my camp mate will bluff their wives that their camp is going to have a Fri/Sat night training but in fact, they gathered themselves together to go to Batam and returned the next day...lol. PRCs in Sillypore earns an average of S$25k-S$35k per month, higher than most Sillypore MPs...lol. A few PRC girls ever told me,if they were to pick a husband in Sillypore, the husband-to-be's minimum income needs to be at least close to theirs (if not the same)....i just smile it off. Quote:

You see,i always stayed in Formosa Hotel, cos i really have to. So,it doesnt make any economic sense for me to sweat all the way to Utama area or towards Memory area, get a massage...and than sweat all the way back to Hotel again. I get revitalise from a good massage and then have to tire myself when i am back to hotel...lol. After giving it some thought,i improvise my plan a little. i walk to the massage place i wish to go to,ask if they do in-hotel room massage, and if they do,i get them to come over at a later time example at 2pm when its around 10am at the time of visit. Walk to another shop,do the same thing and get another masseur to come at 4pm. That way,i only need to go back to hotel after "shopping" and wait for the masseur to arrive at the agreed time. Yes,it may cost a little more for the per hour massage, but i will be more revitalising and comfortable as its in my room...well,the problem i encounter is,SOME shops after taking my order (i didnt pay 1st) didnt turn up....lol. Which wantan mee ? There are 2 mentioned in this thread which are popular, the one near Meximo Pub (which is near to Newton Spa) and the one inside Penuin Wet Market (which is Bai Long). To get to Penuin Wet Market, locate Gideon Hotel 1st. Once you found Gideon Hotel, behind it is the wet market. And dont enter the wet market...walk outside of it to recce and you should not have a problem seeing the word Bai Long store in Chinese just from outside the wet market. (photo extract from bro Nescafe's post) Just remember how wet market looks like and you shldnt have a problem finding it cos the area of wet market is big.Simply walk from one end to other. Opposite Gideon Hotel (from its front door) is BCS mall and around that area, you may also be able to locate A2 Food court. For the wan tan Mee at Meximo Pub,its around Utama area, but not exactly really that close by. Once you can locate Meximo Pub,just 2 or 3 blocks from Meximo pub is the other wan tan mee. Walking out from Meximo Pub,turn right and 2 or 3 blocks away, should be the other wan tan mee store. Btw,thank you for answering my previous long list of questions. Cheers!
