Soho Club is probably one of the best places for good night out at the weekend in Almaty. The place has a large seating area for diners, a bar area, and a small dance floor in front of a small stage. The style is a mixture of American and European, with the occasional splash of Russian influence. And this is also reflected in the menu. Getting drinks can occasionally be a bit of a challenge when the place gets full. There are loads of waiters and waitresses, but unless you're at a table they are usually reluctant to bring you anything. And on a Friday or Saturday night you are unlikely to find a free table unless you have booked one in advance. So the alternative is to make your way to the bar and order your drink there. And that can be a challenge at times as everywhere tends to get pretty packed on a busy night. Just one tip: If you order a cocktail, make sure you ask for it by name. The price of a Screwdriver is for example considerably lower than the price they will charge you for a vodka and orange juice!
