Your post is question-begging -- how's your sex life?

That could be the real reason for your frustration.

Very good answer. TS have a good family. If he has some problems that he need to sort out within the family, his spouse is the best person to work things out, before it is too late.

Men eat out once in a while, but within his mind, his family is most important. If he wishes to keep his family intact.

WL and those who give love when you pay, they are out to make a living only. Very soon, you will see how empty the love they give is. Your wife stay by your side and care for the kids with you. that is family love that is irreplaceable.

felt bored with repetitive family duty should not be the reason for you to do something damaging it. Nobody from your family want you to feel so.

you felt you did not live your life while doing those daily duties for kids, you felt you are living more for them, and left nothing for yourself. Some people can do it every day and feel good doing it, some people couldn't. It's not something you can listen to some advises and change overnight, nor could it be forced to change.

plan something that you love to do and go do it for your self, you will feel life is not that killingly bored after that.

the idea is to walk out from your thoughts, TS, not going deeper into that direction.

I totally commiserate with TS. I feel 100% the same, and I haven't had cum inside my wife for over 4years. I know because my child is now 3.5 years old.

I have thought about consulting a professional, but like quitting smoking, the real motivation must come from within, and frankly, I'm not sure if I have that.

It's not just the sex that's an issue, plenty of other domestic and character issues at work.

Or maybe I'm just doing everything I can to justify my actions, or maybe my actions are justified...

Lol, guess I did misunderstand you. I have always sought out the company of these professionals, but lately, I find myself succumbing alot to their KC-trickery, when in the past, it was always F-and-forget.
