well..my bdae is very near to valentine day..tats y feb is such a lousy month sometimes..bdae, v day and CNY with no gf..

guess on my bdae..i cld either

1. work OT that day
2. go geylang for a bonk
3. choose to be happy n just see wat happen tat day

not really true tat u got no one to care for or to care for u..u still hv urself to care for urself..if u dun love urself..how can u expect others to do the same?

i noe such words can sound so meaningless at times but then its the truth..things always happen for a reason..i not exactly in the happiest phrase of my life either but then again..the least i can do is to stay positive..i noe its hard..every now and then i will slip back to pity myself but still i make an effort everyday to treat things with 平常心

hmm..agreed

whilst it's easy for many ppl to be overly self-centred & narcissistic, i feel that for those who do not have much love in his life (i.e. me), it's actually important to love urself more. And it's no mean feat!
It's quite ironical that when u feel that no one actually cares for u, u wld usually feel demoralized & depressed, and end up caring even lesser for urself. so it becomes a vicious cycle...

This mornin i woke up to the dazzling warm sun and feel it's actually beautiful to be alive & healthy... can go anywhere i want, eat nice food
The hardest part, i fathom, is keep this positivity throughout. cos from time to time, i'll slip into a depressive state filled with unhappy thoughts...

Later in the afternoon, i also went to Vivocity to jalan jalan... wow got many nice restaurants & cafe situated along the side which oversee the beautiful harbour view. Standing outside one of the cafeteria, i couldn't enter & has a bittersweet feelin... it's not that i've no money in my pocket, but such a nice place & nice view somewhat feels lacking in something ...without her

it's such a 无奈 feeling sometimes... not as thou we are miles apart in different country, not that i can't afford to bring her out. But simply cos her heart does not belong to me.
Today i finally comprehend what people mean when they say "So near, yet so far"...

I guess i noe how u feel..whenever i walk by tat stretch..i wld feel the same as you..its not tat the view is not nice..its juz tat there is no one to share it with me..maybe in a way i m beta than u..i was once with the ger (tat i mentioned previously) at vivocity..even she was rushin then..i ask her to accompany me for a smoke and i purposely drag her out to tat area for a smoke..for tat 5 mins..we were just sittin there, +++kin to each other and lookin at kids (she like kids alot)..it was a beautiful memory but as u say..its so near but yet so far it can only last for tat 5 min and will neva happen again

You'll have to shake this habit of going to nice places and thinking of her. I do that myself and sometimes it can feel terrible. It's worse when you're there alone and thinking about how mice it would be if she was around. Even worse if you're there with a new date and still thinking of her. I've even gone to the extent of finding dates that are similar looking or having other similar traits, bonking them while thinking of her.... sucks big time (in more ways than one )!

I'm in a slightly better or worse position. I do get her out maybe about 2-3 days in a 1-2 years when she is in SG. We do the full couple thing... dates, movies, dinners, BBBJs etc . You may think it is good but sometimes it just shatters me when the days are over. She normally gets a change of heart 2-3 days into this and just leaves and swears never to see me again.

Imagine reliving the trauma of breaking up with your most loved over and over again. It's almost been 10 years already with this tradition being repeated.
