Bro, I forgot to say, most of the girls in Batam are those rejected from their hometown. Many come from Surabaya, Jakarta, Bandung.....the list goes on. Then they travel to Bali, Tg Pinang, Tg Balai and they "settle" down in Batam. How I know? I met a lot. Most of them have divorced/ have children liao. It is very common to "shotgun" and run in Indonesia. Therefore the funny social problem. I met a lot liao~!

Giant did not sign the lease. Carefour did, and they have to complete the thing before end of the year. What I heard is that it sells mainly food items. As for the sides, near to the main entrance, they are selling electronic items.

The first floor will be mainly food resturants, like godiva, BFC, fisherman, etc. It is going to be a crowded place in future, when the apartments comes up. the prices of the apartments are way too high liao. The boss is thinking of lowering it. I did ask before and it was in 90K range to 200K sing dollars range.

Probably trying to attract singaporeans to stay there?

Yup, it is true. Batam is the place where those got rejected comes. IN fact, the norm is that the woman raise all their kids, not the men. They marry many men, and the more they remarry, the higher their "status". It shows that they are beautiful and wanted by many men. Even Megawati husband now is the 3rd one.

Applies to mainly Java women.
