My friend was caught in this latest raid. He was in the sauna when the raiders came...... brought him up the lorry to Bakai. According to him no need to pay any $$$ but they interviewed him and take mugshot and fingerprints. They also examined the contents of his handphone. After statement given and 8 hrs later..... he was released about 5am.

Is your friend local or foreigner? My guess is he is a local as the MIB rarely ask for money from the locals...... only from our carrothead southern Singkie neighbours.

Yes.... this round of raids are different from previous raids.
Update from the VIP spa raid...... they want to pay money to get their girls released but this time the authorities refused to accept and instead remand those girls for 10 days.
No more such thing as pay money and resume business next day..... I think the JB scene gonna see some changes with this type of crackdown.

This week very bad weather and many places flooded..... some small towns and villages and kampungs are still under water at the moment.

Available resources from Polis, Bomba, Rela, GFF & Tentara are deployed to assist in flood relief efforts...... so unlikely to have extra manpower for raids. Safe to cheong for now.

Bad news for upcoming weeks..... intel received that series of Operations planned for rest of the 2019 until 1st Jan 2020 by several different enforcement Departments. The memo clearly stated that EVERY DEPARTMENT must do its part to ensure a safe and clean Johor in preparation for Visit Malaysia Year 2020.... and further instructions that enforcement operations MUST be carried out by every department before end of 2019.
