How is the situation in Sihanoukville. Are there any new developments.

I will be flying to Ho Chi Minh end of this month. Then proceed to AnGiang to visit my friends Vietnamese wife. And then from AnGiang we will go to sihanoukville via HaTien, Kep and Kampot.

Just for those who maybe curious, HaTien is just a simple seaside town. It do not have active nightlife. If want girls can ask trishaw riders or taximen.

I missed those crabs and prawns in Kep.

Sihanoukville is very messy now. Government built road everywhere. A lot of Chinese left already but still everyday jam because of the roads. Previously a 15 min trip will now take more then 30 mins. So if you come be prepared. Hope you travel by car sia... if you going by PassApp, u better buy those face mask. Dusty everywhere!

KTVs and massage also many places close leow. But still have. I dont understand why some KTVs still charge so expensive when no more guests....

Thanks for the info.

It's good that there are less China people there. It's understood all lose money.
I also predict that the mad bubble rush will burst too.

The jam should be on the main road. I believe Omei street should be around still .
Anyway I look forward to recce sihanoukville and post a field report here.

As usual, once I reach sihanoukvilke, I will rent a motorcycle and recce the places.

This way they are killing their own business faster. Once people feel they tio carrot-chop, they wont return back to the shop. Gone are those days where the Chinese push up all the prices, used to be USD $20 for a shot.
