bat dau = bắt đầu = to start, to begin
jo = gio = now
xg = xuong lien = go down

translation:
I now start going down to 51. I am at budgon

btw... where is budgon???

Hi Bros, I want to learn tieng viet as fast as i can .. but i find problem in speaking.. which i find to b my biggest obstacle in learning ting viet. though i know a few basic sentences but once i speak mostly no viets will understand me... any advise or sugggestions.? will taking up a class in pvt language schools help?

Taught by a Vietnamese (from HCM) who is married to a Taiwanese and now teaching in the language centre in a Taiwan Uni. I find her lessons very helpful as she starts from the foundation like the individual alphabets pronounciation, the ping1 ying1 etc.

(One thing about learning TV though... This is from my Hanoi girl, so I don't know how true it is... She says.. Hanoi's TV can be understood by all Vietnamese across the country, but HCM's TV can only be understood by Vietnamese who only learnt HCM's TV. Again, this is what she said (and she's from Hanoi) so I don't know how true it is.)
