I was there late Feb, I really feel safe.

I think cos Communism. Haha. Gov more authoritarian, have mask culture, and they are more prepared. If they find cases, they will Lock whole village or apt block etc.

Although Vietnam still has a lot of corruption going on but has been outstanding in regards to containing the virus.
The best part is they never hao lian about their perfomance unlike some countries.

Yeah my last trip was in late Feb too.....had to cancel my subsequent months trips the moment they started that mandatory 14 days quarantine in Wetnam & also once back from overseas

I think you meant Democracy but in a nutshell that is correct cos to be able to control such crisis the cuntry needs total authoritarian control over its citizens

Another words i think they are more united and cultural different.

Remember those day when Vietnam win any football game. whole street will parade and also very crowded and excited. This is their spirits and culture.

Vietnamese love their country...they still had those morning loudspeakers broadcasts in the streets at provincial...cities no more except some non-urban districts...brainwashed their hearts...so they happy country...

talking about football, I had ever experienced the madness of not reaching my destination after a football victory match...not much different than Xmas eve in downtown D1 hcm...

ya loh.. i was in dong nai, during one of those important matches. basket, motorcyle horn horn, so many on the road, with flags etc. its really diff. sg, cant be bothered with our own national squad. likely more interested in EU club football. haha
