I will like to add in something.

Please take note the bus to zhuhai or from zhuhai to Shanzui is only 1 bus per 3 hr. 1 up and 1 down so total only 2 bus running. If you go during peak season , pls disembark the boat asap n chiong to buy bus ticket. If the tickets sold out, you got to wait for the next bus which is 2hrs+ away. I kena once, wasted 3 hrs , lucky no plane to catch if not die cock stand. There also got no private taxi to rent.

Getting there

There are quite a few methods going to XCD

There is a bus from cp to zh ( gongbei)then you can change to direct bus to Shanzui harbor 山咀码头

If you are in sz I recommend the ferry from shekou to zh and then take a direct bus from gong bei 拱北

You can take a train to gz train station (not east station). From
There take a direct bus from Liu Hua ( 流花车站）station.

The above methods require some looking into timings.

The below methods work anytime from 7- 2pm ( cos of the last ferry)

Take bus from Luo Hu 罗湖 to Tai Shan 台山 then another bus to Shanzui

Take bus from gz to tai Shan then another bus to Shanzui

Once at Shanzui the ferry will cost about 47 rmb. the ferry timings usually corespond with the bus timing so minimal waiting.

Once you reach XCD about 45 mins later you take the resort bus ticket price about 10 rmb.

The bus ride should take 10-15 mins. Upon arrival at the resort gate ( 王府洲）the entrance fee is 40 rmb. You get off the bus pay the fee and wait for the resort buggy to bring you to your hotel.

My friend kena caught in a raid last year. You can ask the mamasans there. 2 person kena . 1 taiwanese and 1 malaysian.

Lucky he brought enough money to pay the fine, if not chia lat , they ask you call home n ask plp transfer over to the hotel a/c or bank there.

Heard the girls kena sent out of XCD and ban from entering again.

Anyway, they want $$$ only. Pay up and they will let you go n leave u alone.

Beacause my friend is still chiong there 5 times a year and 1 month stay per trip.

Yah, Gong An raid my friend's hotel room.

I ever talked to a few hotel operators there and after much beer n talk, they said that a few times a year the Gong An will conduct raids a catch a few to anwer to the higher ups in the City especially during the peak season when there are many plp and the WLs go out of board like boh cheng hu. After a raid normally, all things in the island will go quiet for some time then it's all back to the same. Like a cycle.

Very often there are fights among WLs or WLs against customers also n that also activates the Gong An.

We always avoid one house gals btw, it in a ally in the middle. That house got the most young gals and is notorious for their bad service n problems causing but they have many many young gals. Some like not even 18yrs. All under control of their respective boyfriends. No brainers , work n give all the $$$ to the guys. Earn not enough kena beaten some more. The last time i went , 2 gals from that house fight until one got stab by a beer bottle. The next 2 days all BBS close door dun dare to operate.

XCD is a place for fun for almost all categories

The town is split between the clean side and seedy side. The latter having the highest concentration of bbs.

The bbs mom are not aggressive on the streets but are lioness like in the den ( store). The will not let you go live unless u pick from them.

The seedy side is a small part of town and you can well avoid it.

For a lovers or family get away XCD is a good choice.

The beach is clean minuscule litter.

Watersports and diving available within a short distance.

Food is everywhere, just a stone throw away and plentyful to choose from.

if you want to drink and soak up the atmosphere there are beer gardens.
If you want something more private there are ktvs and bars. Byo girls

For a lovers trip I think 3 days 2 nights just nice

WOW, ur frd dam shiok, almost spend haf a year in XCD. Envy ur frd so much. Some of us 1 2 plan there for a few days trip only also plan until 'bin chair chair' liao, let alone 1 mth, some more 5x a year.

I was told that the whole island of XCD is owned by the PLA (Peoples' Liberation Army). If so, I wonder why there would be raids by the Gong An? If anything should be the Military Police maintaining order?

My friend is single n in his 60s and owns shares in a few business in Malaysia.

Now dun chiong want to wait until c.m.i then chiong

Anyway he's very famous in his hometown as Chicken King ! No joke !

Anyway, he already instructed his family that is he more then 6 mths never go back , call us his friends to go bring his body back. We will where to find him.

Everytime he get pressure from Guangdong Higher Ups , action starts.

Many of the hotels are owned by Taiwanese n Locals f.y.i

Hai Shang Hwang Kong and 4 more hotels along the seafront owned by the taiwanese , all expensive, 300rmb onwards .

Those behind not near the sea owned by Locals and cheaper , rates from 100rmb onwards.

Bro, if im not mistaken, it should be hourly. But now the bus station had shifted to another location at ZH just beside Jin Ye Hotel, timing also change?

Hmm, Im very sure at SZMT, it is hourly except somewhere near to lunch time u had to wait around 2 hours (Dun tell me u kena this timing?).

Yup, the red army is in control at XCD but Gong An conduct raids. So far, 10x been there only one time heard about raid. One of the MM got a call from her frd (same line) that there will be a raid. In the end, this MM terrified all the MM that accompany us. I quickly called the hotel manager (know him for quite 2yrs+ liao) and tell him about this. He came to our hotel and F all the MM telling them that if there is a raid, he will know about it 1st before them. Then he and the MM kpkb here and there. In the end, we decided to pay the MM and shout them up. Thought pay them 300rmb (normal rate 400rmb) cos its just 12am+and now they kpkb us. In the end, settle at 300rmb by the manager. next morning, went to all the KFC stalls, pretend to look see look see, in the end find out no raid previous night. Is it a trick by the gals that night, if so, knn, conned by them.
