bro, chill. how come u erect very painful? i 2nd day after circumcism erect, okay leh. i nv take any painkillers and all at all. give it a few more days heal. if still painful, i suggest u go back to the same doctor. for mine, its been about 6 weeks since i cut, the stitch all drop already, the wound also not very nice. sian, my gf even eeee my penis.

Some of us takes time to heal, some recover faster, some recover slower. The point is do not force yr DiDi, let nature take its course....hehehe

It's amazing to hear that a lot of men here in Singapore undergo circumcision on a later age :-) In my hometown it was like a rite of passage from boyhood to adulthood. I'm not sure how surgeons do it here but there are a few variations how the foreskin are cut.

Among things than we have experienced after circumcision were the swelling of the stitched area (it became itchy after the tird week, once the scar has healed). I recall washing my "wound" with boiled guava/jambu/jambu batu leaves (the water is lukewarm, by the way ^^).

My exposed head has become sensitive since. I have to wear a cap in order not to come so soon! :-D

The doctor will ask you why you want to circumcise. Just tell him why can liao. He will ask you go into a room, take off your pants and lie on the table. Remember to shave all your pubic hair before the operation. He will then disinfect your penis, foreskin and the area. Can be painful if your head is sensitive as he scrubs hard. This will be followed by a series of injections to your penis. I think about 8 or 9 jabs. Can't recall as it was a bit painful for a while. After that you cant feel a thing. He will then apply the Gomco clamp to your skin and penis and let you lie down for 5 mins.

If you adventurous like me, can request for him to let you see how he cut :P. After 5 mins, he will cut off the skin and followed by about 12 stitches to mine. Bandage liao, you can go home. The initial pain and discomfort took place 3 hours after the cut. For me i didn't take the painkillers. You will begin to wonder why you put yourself through this torture. You will feel like peeing all the time but no pee and the whole area just feel like burning and stinging.
But after 3 hours, it was all normal. Night erections are just uncomfortable, not really that painful.

If you cant get used to your pants rubbing against your dick, can wear briefs to sleep.But for me, i want to get used to the feeling of it since its gonna be exposed for the rest of my life.

Everything looks and feels good now. Going back for checkup tomorrow. Total cost is $220 for the operation and the medicine and any followups.

Hi all.

I just got my circumcision done today. Here is my own personal journey and I hope it will help you come to a decision or not... this is just beginning and so I will only talk about the initial... rest will follow later.

13 Sep Monday.
Made a call to Eunos Clinic, asking to get it done. Set the appointment on 15 Sep Wednesday morning. Nurse advised me to shave, shower just before arriving at the clinic. Asked for certain details, like how old you are, any existing medical conditions and if you are a (Muslim) convert or not. Answered the questions then put down the phone. By the way, cost of it has increased to $250/-.

14 Sep Tuesday.
Spent the entire evening freaking myself out by spending 5hrs reading about circumcision, how it can go wrong, etc etc etc. Read up about the Gomco style of clamps for circumcision, and how to expect my dick to look after the op.

15 Sep Wednesday (Today)
Went to get the thing done. For me, my glans head has NEVER been exposed before, I suffer from acute phimosis, so i have never managed to pull back my foreskin. I went to the clinic, they took down my details, and i waited.

Called me out, went to the room. Saw the doctor (he looks 50's, and has been doing circumcisions for 26 years), and he took the equipment out of the sterilizing machine (ok felt safe that the clinic was clean). I stripped off my pants and underwear and laid down on the operating bed.

I won't hide the fact that it was pretty painful. I have been in a motorcycle accident before when i was 26 (11 stitches on leg/foot), I have been stabbed during a gangfight when i was 19 (9 stitches on my arm), I have broken my knee during OCS training (3 months in a cast) and I fell 8m off a rock climbing wall when I tried to be a smart aleck and climb without safety equipment.
I would rate this as the most painful event in my life.

Doctor needed to pulled back to see my dickhead... but he tried a bit but saw that I couldn't because of my phimosis. He then told me to prepare myself, he would need to pulled it back FAST so as not to prolong the pain. He reached and pulled my foreskin back so fast, my glans popped out to see the world, first time in my life. It hurt like a bitch. Then he started injecting me with local anesthetic. The actual injection, was not painful.
Then because I had such acute phimosis, there was no way to put the "Bell" part of the Gomco clamp over my glans head through that small opening in my foreskin... so he had to snip my foreskin with a scissors. All the LA in the world could not make me not feel that scissors cutting my foreskin. HURT LIKE FCUK again.
After that... he just put the clamp on... screwed it shut, and asked me to wait for 5-6mins and not touch it, then he'll come back to cut.

After 5mins, he came back.. cut the skin (didn't feel a thing) and sewed up the cut area (barely felt a thing). Bandaged me, told me to keep the dressing dry and not bathe for 2 days. On the 3rd day, come back to see him, change dressing, etc.

Then i took a taxi home. Now it is 6 hours after the cut, and I feel a constant need to pee even though I have nothing to piss out. My dick looks so swollen, but it doesn't hurt. The feeling of it is like taking those black butterfly clips for clipping stacks of paper together, but imagine one of those pinching your skin on your dick. Actually... the clip would be more painful than this feeling now.

LESSONS LEARNT
- If I did not have phimosis, it would not have hurt me so much.
- The parts of the op that made me go "OH MY GAWD IT HURTS LIKE FCUK" were due to the skin being pulled sharply over glans, injecting near glans which was exposed to the world first time in 30 years, and him needing to slice my foreskin open big enough to fit the clamp.
- If you have acute phimosis like me, I suggest that you pay the money to go for GA, then laser surgery. Do it in JB where they have Muslim malay doctors that do this 10 times a week, but with laser instead of cold scalpels. Only RM1300 (which is like SGD600?). Only thing is you need a buddy/gf that will drive you back to Singapore, as effects of GA are quite strong.
- If you are already able to pull back your foreskin, but are getting circumcised for cosmetic reasons, i 100% recommend this Eunos Clinic. Fast, convenient.

Hi all.

Update on previous posting, it has been 72hrs since the cut.

Now looking less like a raw sausage and more like a "snake in hiding".

The stitches thankfully not itchy at all.

I did some research online on how to make homemade sterile saline solution, which might be helpful to others who have gotten the cut.

There is still some bleeding overnight along the stitch line, i presume this is from nightly erections, that cause the scabs to crack and bleed. Peeing is different of course, seems quite powerful now!

Have also noticed at "rest state" the head of my dick looks a lot wider than before, though not longer... giving my dicky a bit of a pudgy stumpy look. I have yet to have a full erection... primarily because don't dare to try and afraid of breaking the stitches and opening the wound.

I have not been showering for 3 days (doctor's advice) so as to keep the wound as dry as possible... I have resorted to using Dettol Wipes to wipe my body to clean myself, and having my air-con on for the past 3 days to reduce sweating.

Doctor said he used dissolving stitches, so I need not worry about coming back to remove them. I suppose that is why he asked me not to bathe and keep it dry, if you wet the stitches too much, they might dissolve prematurely.

No more pain at all except waking up from morning erections, glans is hyper sensitive. Even taking off/putting on briefs too quickly sends shocks throughout my nerves.






It is recommended that after you pee, or take a bath, that you soak your little guy for 2-3 mins in the saline solution to clean out bacteria and avoid infection. Remember to let him dry out before bandaging as wet wounds will rot.

How to make a sterile saline solution (remember this is only as sterile as the environment you make it in, and doesn't stay sterile long).

1 cup of water
1 teaspoon of salt (sodium chloride)
half teaspoon of baking soda (sodium bicarbonate)
A coffee mug.


Stir in both the baking soda and salt.
I boil the water beforehand in coffee mug (CLEAN!!) in a microwave oven before my bath, heat the water on high for 2mins, give it 1hr+ to cool down before using.
Use too much water, it is too diluted and doesn't do it's job well. Use too little water, it will kill bacteria effectively but IT WILL STING.

I had mine done at NUH and was told it was ok to bath right when I got home from day surgery . I was hoping the stitches would fall off faster as the ends do give me a rude shock once in a while . I don't understand the logic of shaving the pubic hair , wouldn't trimming be better ? when the hair start to grow back , the first few days also may poke at your exposed head leading to more rude shocks

Yah, laser circumcision costs from S$1500 to 2000. but if you do it in JB hospital it cost you 1400RM
