my 2 cents here.
GL has the reputation of pump and go no fuss no AV raid no worries.
ML has the feeling.
the best is to know what u are looking for. after more than 10 years of chionging, i have decided that i like quantity. so bang for buck would be GL. and GL cannot say cannot find gems even at $60 thai. i visit my all time favourite so many times until she auto knows what i like during the session. no need to tell her, no need to demo and such.
sometimes i will go PRC girl for good overhaul service. sometimes got pornstar feel go find malaysian.
if u chiong enough and know yourself, u will have a good time.

Have to know how and what your preference taste is like.

When MLs used to charge a flat $50 as top up for extra services, I had my regulars.

But now, with the ridiculous pricing. Entrance rates around 60/67/88. Then they expect HJ rates at 70/80/100 if you want to roam.

I've stopped going to these spas since. I now just go to the typical Natureland for my serious massage, and others that strictly provide massage. And I'd the urge surfaces, I pop by GL, Dome 1, Dome 3.

This approach, I have found two results.
1. I manage expectations. Massage is good, if it so happens she offers a good happy release at old rates. I go for it. If not, I just do a quick pop by GL.

2. If I am tempted and feeling adventurous. I would still pop by a questionable massage joint. But with clear goal of not paying more than planned. I get to walk away not feeling frustrated.
If unmanaged, then it could lead to frustration relazing I spent unnecessarily on a so so massage and release that is nearly $200 in total.

Just like Geylang, can be but and miss from my experience.
However for the higher category in Dome 3, like Japanese abs some euro/south American/ russian ones, I find not bad and some will make the effort for the experience to make you feel like a king. Meaning , I think it's hard to tell if she is putting on a good show or if it's for real.

To me, it's rather fun for my age to "unlock" ML for FJ.

The time, effort and money ( lesser the better), satisfied me.

Geylang were during my young days.

1) Aged
Younger days no interest in massage and ML as mostly PDMM. Only go hook FL from pub/ktv and GL WL. Getting older, mostly visit ML in MP to relax and release. Very seldom go for WL.

2) Distance/Travel
Need travel to GL to release whereas ML are everywhere. If travel, visiting ML, I also go to those near MRT or very easy accessible.

3) Different needs
Bonk and Go vs place to relax. Mostly visit $88 spa due to a more relaxing atmosphere. Still go TCM if on budget.

Same. ML charge $50 for HJ and roam, I keep them as regular even though they are from $88 Cat 1 Spa. Met alot ML asking $100 now. Only lately I found 2 ML in Cat1 Spa happily accepting $50.

Entrance rate for TCM increased. Some usual $50 entrance TCM i visit also up rate to $58/$68
