2. How could a foreigner/Indonesian legally own a vehicle?

3. As this is a used car...
What are the Documents required for proven of ownership.(log book / LTA letter of ownership transfers)
4. What are the Documents required for the car to be on the road.
(Road tax / insurance )
5. Any other's things/documents that I may had missed out

I DID drive a scooter in Batam, very few times from Pacific to Formosa with a drunk girl on the back (the owner of the bike), but just because I did not want her drive a bike while drunk (dangerous).
Except those cases, which I don't want to repeat, I would NEVER drive a car or a bike in Batam.

Do you know that insurance is not mandatory, so that most people driving there is not covered? Considered how most people drives there, the probability of accident is too high to risk (my opinion). In case someone crashes into your car, you would not get any refund, as the other may be not covered by insurance, and of course is not wealthy enough to refund expenses of car damage, not to mention hospitalization for you and your passengers.
