Yes, it's an inconvenience. I was there last Friday and found my card blocked for outgoing calls. The best Pat is that when I purchase that card some 2 years ago, I used my passport to register it and even converted it to a 4G card at Telkomsel CS office at Nagoya Hill Mall.

Luckily data still work. Hence, I'm able to use whatscall to make my calls.

Correction, can't send SMS as well.

I am pretty sure there is some Russian escort in Singapore, but outrageously expensive. Russian market is very high priced. If a Russian girl goes abroad to work, she seeks lots of money. She will go to Dubai or Singapore, but not to Batam.

I see the so-called "Russian girls" at Beach Club in KL. They look like truck drivers, with gross face and big arms. They look more like big refrigerators with two legs below, than ladies. In spite of that, hungry Indian men with lots of money chase them and accept to pay 700 RM or 1500 RM for overnight.just because those truck drivers look exotic to their eyes. To each his own (you know, meat and poison).

I travel, so I can neglect to look for Chinese girls in Colombia (there are, but fat and ugly, mainly for local Chinese) and neglect to look for Latin girls in Batam.
And of course, I never buy rambutan in Europe, even if it's possible to find them (old, dry, and priced 20 SGD/kg).

Batam should be more active than Balai. Noticed alot of people asking wheres the MPs, farmhouse. But I hardly read any frs or see any photo sharing here. Whereas Balai is quite active.

And what can they do with your passport number? Or even a photocopy?
You leave it overnight at hotel desk when you checkin, why not to a registered cell phone operator agent?
It's not a credit card, which someone can use on an online store giving simply the number, exp. date and last 3 digits on the back (bank will refund, anyway).
