There are various reasons why people don't go for bankrupcy, it could be job position or whatever, and the people in debts themselves will know whether they should or not. As to making sense, it's really very subjective. I mean we have people who do FL with only 3K debt and mind you, these people have "better halves". I didn't think it was logical as I think a person could easily round up 3K from their family members, friends, relatives and their better halves instead of doing FL to get the money. But the girl doing the FL felt that this is her debt and she doesn't want to involve others. It's up to her and we couldn't say she's right or wrong.

I really don't know how she accumulated her debts but I know I accumulated more than 100K debt thru credit cards, ready credit, etc and today, no banks in SG (other than OCBC) will give me more than an ordinary savings account. The rest, DBS, UOB, Citibank, HABC, Maybank, Keppel, etc, (you name it, I got it), has literally banned me.

I agreed that she is not the mountain turtle type and has considered this option very carefully and have spoken to lawyers about it as well.

As far as I know, part of the debt is not accumulated by her. She is not the first case where I have encountered where the debt is not is accumulated by themselves, but by far the worst case.. ie, 60k..

I had friends where debts are accumulated by their bf or hubby and when things get out of hand, they run away leaving the ladies to clear the debts. Some of you may think the ladies are stupid.. but what can I say, love is blind and sometimes when you are in it, things are difficult to explain.
I personally have helped some friends to clear their debt, and they pay me back on a monthly basis. I wished I can help Renee but I must admit that the amount is beyond me.

I hope these kind of guys out there, will be a man and clear whatever you had chalked up yourself.

I already made it clear to Renee (the present FL contact I have) that it's not my responsibilty should there be any unpleasant events that happen in the course of her "work" and I'm not about to champion any FLs or OKTs now or in the future.

True, initially i was also worked up when I hear of Chow Kar samsters, but then I figure it's none of my business which was why I ignored the PMs from Angelina with regards to her Russian FL.

I know Renee is a nice person, not one tend to lie or whatever but I don't think we should comment or get involve in personal matters. Bro ThaiVisitor, it doesn't matter if no banker want to give you any further credit. Using hard cash is much better, other will look at you in different angle, because you always pay hard cash. They will know that you are rich enough that you dont need to have credit from those banker.
