I often look at one little thing,before deciding whether to pay top dollars in Batam (or not),i will 1st refer to SBF's FL Dome 3 - The World is Your Oyster sub-forum, for the available Indonesian girl's photograph,check out their pricing and then followed by if the photographs has any sign of being edited,hehehe...many were top notch looking Indonesian girls (in term of looks on photo) in it,mostly 8/10 or higher...but at what price? S$100 for 90mins and 2 shots,hehehe...

Then i look at girls in Batam and then their pricing. Was trying to set a balance tho,which is one of the reason why nearly all my girls dont go beyond 1 juta for overnight,hehehe...

I walked from Batam City Hotel to Windsor Tua Pek Kong on my 1st day in Batam (July trip). There seems to be major renovation at the temple tho.

The other Tua Pek Kong is at Tiban (i usually called it Tiban Tua Pek Kong).

Oh,what i am trying to say is, the temple brings some popular hawker food store owners to the temple to provide free food to temple visitors and worshipers (temples pays for it,anyone can go there to eat free...hehehe...). Last year,one of those hawker was that Botak Cun noodle store,hehehe...

Thats according to the temple-in-charge when i made a donation.

Setback is,in Batam,most newly built hotel for the 1st 6 months usually doesnt provide very good services due to their lack in manpower. They build the hotel,they didnt have the experience enough manpower numbers to run it.

The good is, everything is still new (the girls working in it too).

2 to 3 years later,price goes up and new things inside hotel start to deteriorate.

Those were my observation over the last few years in Batam.

Been eating all sorts of food from food court, roadside kopitiam to restaurants n shopping mall food. Food wise I’m not too picky, like to just explore around and anyhow try.

So far haven’t met any disappointments, food is crazy cheap even the restaurants so can afford to just whack whatever you feel like. As for recommendations I haven’t met any mind blowing food yet but good thing is there’s a wide variety of food all around. Every single meal I eat something diff yet there’s still so many things I haven’t try.

My fave part abt Batam food is the cabe ijo (green chili) that comes with a lot of food. It’s awesome but the kick is powerful and leaves me sweating like a marathon runner.

I think for food recommendation must search thread and see all the old birds recommendations. I’m still newbie, 1st time here but just wanna share my experiences.

Really want to thank many old birds for posting lotsa helpful stuff on da forum. Solo warrior like me have about 20+ tabs open on my phone all from this Batam Thread. Helps a lot and enables me to avoid pitfalls.

Oh just nice wanted to share something, guys trying King Massage at Formosa try not to opt for Oil massage or Kombinasi massage which includes oil. Left the front of both my thighs with rashes. I was feeling a bit itchy when she apply the oil but thought nothing of it. Next day rashes until now. Might be my body allergic to the oil used but Bros no point taking unnecessary risk, just do Thai massage or foot reflex.

The one beside a booking joint is the best out there, many locals enjoy. Should try nasi padang too. It's the best and ayam bakar.

Late nite advice : most convenience stores don’t sell alcohol after certain hour/ some hotels also!! Having a crazy time with a cewek but can be better with some beer! Stock up on your alcohol if ur a drinker and want to get ur cewek drunk n horny!!!

You can stock up beers from major super mart at shopping malls,and if one doesnt happen to remember to stock them up,there is always Room Service from a hotel, written on my Batam beginner's guide. (alcoholic drinks were banned off from most mini mart about 2 years ago,base on the Indo Law)

Kupukupu at Utama area,behind Utama Hotel walk one round,you should see it. I think i have a walk through at the below link tho,hehehe...hope you are able to find it.
