Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings

I watched the first half only and thought Torres was better. He had a goal disallowed, an assist and he was chasing after defenders (something we don't see too often these days). He had a shot where he tried to place it in the far corner and it missed (though not by a lot). I think he will get better. If Ngog isn't seizing his opportunities soon, I think he will be sold or relegated to 3rd or 4th striker soon. Enthusiasm cannot replace talent.

I think we have a soft core this season. When Alonso and Mascherano is with us, opponents don't attack our central midfield as both of them tackle quite well. Our central midfield is weak now. Opponents attack us through the centre these days. Poulsen isn't tackling enough. Carragher is also older and slower. Gerrard can disappear in action these days (though he comes up with moments of brilliance...) We need to strengthen the core. We are missing Mascherano. Only then can we spread play to the wings... Now the wingers got to help defend the central of midfield, leaving gaps everywhere.

I think not only Maxi, those who were expected to perform are not playing to their true form...just hope this rot doesn't set in and become a permanent feature of their game..

And RH seems to be clueless and it doesn't help when the telly shows him biting his nails and scratching his forehead...

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings

seeing pool's 'unbelievably poor performances' in the past few matches, i sometimes ponder if the players are deliberately playing below par, linger in the bottom of the table, making the club look like a useless piece of junk so that the american dogs will have trouble selling the club at a high price. and if Pool gets relegated (touch wood), the dogs will probably have trouble breaking even n selling at a big loss. juz praying hard the 2 idiots give in to pressure n give up their stakes by oct 6.

I just saw the league table and am glad at the improvement from the end of last season.

We are 6th.

From the bottom.

Ha ha ha typical, foolian reply... when the truth is said, its never agreed, probably ego, which the relegation leaders shouldnt have....

I think Torres just wants to get on with the game & win it especially against Sunderland.

We gonna buck up against the so called "smaller" sides in the next few BPL to avoid the unexpected of the unexpected..

The unexpected of the unexpected. Bro... Very Cheem ya?

Do you guys know what day today is? It's 8 days to D-day. I'm counting down to 6/10/10 on my own. The good thing about the loan is that it isn't secured against the stadium and the players. If I'm not wrong, the loan is tied to the 2 idiots's ownership of our club. I'm glad we have shown that we have enough money to function as a club till the end of this season. We won't be deducted points (like Portsmouth) if RBS really steps in to take over the ownership of the club.

It'll be interesting if RBS sees potential in our club and decides to hold onto the club and run it. You know why that will be interesting? Because RBS will then own a club that reads 'Standard Chartered' in front of its jerseys. How freaking weird is that... The world we live in these days...

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings

reports from TeamTalk... not from Official Website, so dunno how true RH's comment is...

Liverpool manager Roy Hodgson believes his players are struggling to come to terms with the "enormous expectation" of the club's supporters.

"The players are trying to come to terms with the enormous expectation here," he said.

"That, at the moment, is our major problem. Everything is very new; there are a lot of new players, uncertainty over the ownership of the club and the minute you are not top of the table after five or six games, people are saying this is not good enough.

"I am not saying it is good enough but I am saying this is something that could have been predicted."

again...!!!???
Uncle Roy MUST realise and remember tat he's now the manager of LIVERPOOL...!!!!

Remember we were saying how good he is with the media? His explanations are beginning to sound lame now. New players must come to Anfield with enormous expectations!

RH is talking cock again wat expectation, the kop r one of the most understanding fans in the world, they noe thier football, they noe we r not gonna win the league but they expect jus like we here in sillypore to beat a team like sunderland,to be happy to draw sunderland at anfield is nonsense,he s talking like a fulham manager,i don t think he noe wats he doing.his line up is all wrong,if u play stevie g in midfield than he shd play cole in hole behind toress,ft can t do it alone.another thing when that farkerson called toress a cheat,RH did not rebutt farkerson it wld have been different if it was RB,as pool manager he shd have backed toress.there is a rift between sg n ft sumtin is not right, whenever toress scores it sg who is there first to congratulate him n vice versa but that did not happen in the sunderland game.
