For apartments... there are many around the 500KRMB budget but for condo with nice garden and away from the main road... expensive per china standards.

Finally I end up buying a 450 sq ft condo one hour bus away from XM island... in a tourist resort called Discovery Hill... you can ask your agent friend if she had heard of this one... I paid cash 250KRMB (include all fees) for the unit.
