Here is a question regarding Karaoke in HCMC

I'm going to have people visiting from the US and Australia soon, want to take them to a familiy-style karaoke that has a good selection of English-language songs.

I've been to the Dan Ca's and Nice karaokes. Those are ok but the song selection is a bit boring (lots of Eagles and Paul McCartney) and extremely mainstream.

Another problem is that they put all the songs in those binders with the songs in alphabetical order. It's an awkward way to browse, would make more sense if it was arranged by artist so you could go find your favorite singers or groups and pick from their songs. And I'm not even going to mention the problem of the same 2 or 3 videos being used as the background for every song -- that's actually a lower priority problem for me.

So the question: does anyone have recommendations of better places to try? Mainly I want to find a place with better song selection.

Would love to help you out there but unfortunatly, I dont know any. I do know a place that lists it song by Artist because it uses a computerised catalouge for you select from. but that place is not exactly family oriented.

I would also like to thanks Bird Kor Kor for treating me drink everytime i passby u, although i always "dont give u face"..... its because i drank liquor inside liao, if i mixed with beer, i scared easily "HIGH".... U must be bored at 42 liao, so if got free time, we meet at HM early for a drink. There many YT aka Young Things (w/o the S) which u may lay your fingers on, hehe

Catwalk is not bad but abit expensive. However, it should be no problem for the AngMo.

Um.... Perhaps not Catwalk.

There's one near my house called Happy Day, not sure how that one is. May go in and check it out.
