Aiyah now is 2007 liao, for me, meet parents is not equal marriage. Together now does not mean happy ending in future? Wat is wrong when guy goes to her hometown for sighting n suggest or she suggest to pay a courtesy visit to the family?? It is a polite way to say "hi". Unless this guy has been going around telling gers, "I want to marry u, we go to your hometown to visit your parents."

Then this is wrong.

Your friend got nothing to worry... to get legally married in china.. one has to produce copies of marital status (from SGP Ministry of Foreign Affairs in SGP and stamped by the Chinese embassy in SGP).. one cannot just go empty-handed to china and marry legally without these documents.

My prc gf wants to get married.. I went to check on the proceedings which is why I know the prerequisites...

Well connected in china does not necessarily mean the same outside of china anyway.
