In light of widespread prostitution and conning brought about immigration policies, why SG gov't not change policy? Why not more regulation of KTV and street vice. Big Brother, A rigid immigration policy is dangerous and will hurts the society and economy. Society will not be destroyed as long as China do not blocks its entry at the bottom. Being very objective here, no matter you like it or not, it is impossible to legislate vice actitives. So rather than take a clear stand, govt adopts an ambivalent attitude to it.

1.) Financial constraint to employ more manpower or set up a new and bigger administration just for vice activities. If they do, maybe they have to raie GST to 15% and increase the tax bracket for every income group. Not that its a lot but people like you will then logged on to another forum and complain that taxes are high la...Blar Blar Blar!!! (You'll never stop complaining!!!)

2.) Rather than let the whole vice trade go underground and becoming a lucarative trade assossciated with gangs and other crime syndicates, govt raids when it gets overwhelming or when complaints reach a certain high.
