CNY airtickets either all sold out or too expensive.

Take bus/coach is faster than train?

BTW I am Malaysian, so take from Johor Bahru. 10 Feb 5pm off work. Teach me how to get to BKK in shortest and cheapest way.

If all the flights is expensive then the only way is to take either a bus all the way up there or to drive with a couples of friends...it is fun!

Taking a train, there is some hassle of changing train here and there!

Coach from JB to Hatyai city will take about 12 hours and another 12 coach from Hatyai to BKK. If you drive, JB ~ Hatyai city can reach within 8 hours non-stop and another 8~9 hours to BKK. For such a long land journey, it is much comfortable to take express train JB>KL>PG>HDY>BKK that would take you more than 48 hours including transits time. i doubt its worth it. No point taking a bus (24-48hrs) up ; cheong 24hrs and return to JB (24-48hrs). You will go mad thinking of the puyings while travelling up and be all depressed coming back!

But I have to admire your cheongster spirit!

this is CNY,if you wanted to go up you shld have booked earlier-everyone else book already that is why no tickets/tickets too expensive
