Do Thailand practise Racism?

Hi all,

Would like to check with any of the seniors here are familiar with Thai culture and such. I'll be heading down Bangkok in a few weeks' time with a couple of my mates. One of them is Indian. I've read somewhere that Thai people, especially the fairer, upper middle class types look down upon their own darker skin cousins, as well as have stereotypes of Black African americans as criminals. So if lets say I bring my frd down to the MP, and he fancys a model type, whom mostly is predominately white, is he gonna face problems, such as of her rejecting him and such?

Anywhere around the world also have racism problems. If you are talking about upper class level people, of course some of them will look down on their fellow poor countryman regardless whether they are white or black. Without disrespect, even with call girls, they could also reject certain customers depending on the managment of the joint. I think the most wouldn't do a negro is because of their big member because imagine yourself getting laid by a 8 inch pounder........So I guess the best option for your friend is to prepare more thai baht to compensate the 8 inch pounder treatment for the girl otherwise there would be any problem.............

I was told that my Indian friends were refused entry at some agogo bars in pattaya....
I don't think MPs can reject any customers.... but... i've never seen any negros... or Indians in MPs before..... so... not sure.....
But I seen alot of negros, Indians hanging around sukhumvit... and I think this hotel, Fortuna has FL who'll go with them...... but the FLs there cannot make it...

Hi Pal, Dun worry about that. I have an Indian friend who had been cheonging BKK with me for the past 5yrs. He is "Widely Accepted" anyway in BKK. We had been to MPs, KTVs...etc and he never had a problem getting hooked. As a matter of fact, (maybe he is good looking) he managed to had some freebies too.
