How about a foot massage to detox and stimulate ur internal organs while doing charity at same time? Only $10 / 20mins. I usually / regularly go for 2hrs of solid massage for $60 total, better than piano type pressing by FLs.
Then proceed on to Chicken Rice ball meal at 111 Toa Payoh? Charity coz masseurs are blind or visually handicap and this is done at the Association for the Visually Handicap... It's their only source of income and while there are 80+ trained masseurs. And they are all VERY good. Or at least those that I've tried. Only 4 are on duty per day due to space constraint, so you get to see same blind masseur only once a fortnight i.e. Each masseur works only twice a month. So even if they work a full 8hr per fortnight (which they seldom) they only gross 8 x 2 x $30 = $480 / month. They do go mobile (u see them at MRT stations or at public places, but they aren't always working - have to lug their mobile massage "monkey" chairs with them and taxi back to assoc, which has only about 20 odd chairs on loan to them) This means that everyday 60 of them are jobless everyday or they only work 7-8 days a month max due to limited resources. I did consider opening a clean massage shop to provide them employment but it is very difficult to break even operations unless we can get sponsors for shop or Bros pledging to book regular sessions... Pls any sis wanna kick start this massage outing and then form a brainstorm session to help them, I will be 1st to support.
