Re: Cambodia (Phnom Penh)
Trip report November 2012
It had been a long since I have been to Cambodia, recently I have been going to Batam. Coming out of the airport in Phnom Penh,I straight away got myself a local SIM card. They need a copy of your passport for this.I then went to the hotel booking counter. This was a big mistake. He asked me where I wanted to stay,I suggested a central hotel.I was then expecting him to ask what star hotel I wanted to stay in,but he didnt.Instead he said he would ring around and arranged a central hotel at $40 per night. He also arranged a minibus to take me there at $5. On arrival at the hotel, near the riverfront, they told me that the air conditioning was not working, and they would have to put me up elsewhere,a guest house 2 buildings away. The first room was tiny.I rejected this, they then offered me a larger room on the third floor, but the guesthouse had no lift. The rate was $40 per night. Reluctantly,I accepted. The first day was spent resting. The next day I went to the Sorya mall.Compared to Nagoya Hill mall in Batam, this was a disappointment. There is just not the same quality and selection of goods as in Batam. |

Re: Cambodia (Phnom Penh)
Continued:
At night,I went to Sharkeys bar. This used to be one of the hotspots of Phnom Penh. To my surprise, there were only four working girls sat at a table near the entrance,to catch customers as they came in.One of these Vietnamese girls recognised me from the past and she dragged me to an adjacent table. I ordered drinks for both of us. I told her that as I had just arrived,I wanted to go to Martini. She said that she wanted to accompany me there.I then asked her how much. She said $30 for short time and $50 for long time. This is a big increase from the previous $20/$30. We took a tuktuk to Martini. This also used to be one of the hotspots of Phnom Penh.Another surprise, there were only 2-3 customers and 6-8 working girls. The discotheque section was empty of customers. I asked my companion why it was so quiet and also about working girls from Sharkeys that I had known in the past. She told me that one of these girls had moved to a town on the Thai border,to look for a place with more customers. Back at the hotel, straight away she undressed and said that she wanted to shower me.She is a typical Vietnamese with white skin and a curvy figure.I recall the khmer girls of the past had a slight body and breath odour.Fortunately, this Vietnamese girl did not. At first, she washed my front and back and then knealt down to wash my genitals.Of course,by this time,I was rock hard.I pushed my penis towards her face and she gave me a soft BBBJ.However,I did not want to come here. We then moved to the bed and made love. She has a shaved pussy.Sexy! The next morning I woke at 6:30 a.m.She was already awake.Straight away, she went to the bathroom to clean her teeth and wash.I asked her for a massage. This turned into a sensual massage and making love. I gave her $51,one dollar for the moto. She said that she wanted to see me again the next evening and gave me her phone number. |

Re: Cambodia (Phnom Penh)
Continued:
By this time I had had enough of staying at the guesthouse, having to climb three flights of stairs to get to my room. I wanted to move to a four star hotel.I took a tuktuk first to Julina hotel.I asked to see one of the rooms. It was very nice. However, the receptionist told me that they could only accomodate me for two days,as they were then fully booked. The rate was $80 for one person and $100 for two. I did not like the idea of a joiner fee if I brought a girl back,so went to look at the Phnom Penh hotel. This did not seem quite as nice as the Julina. The rate was $100.However,when I told the manager that I was looking at a few different hotels,he dropped the rate to $67.Deal done. Unfortunately,I then developed backache.I do not know why, maybe the hard beds in Phnom Penh hotels. This put me out of action for two days. When I recovered,I decided to try the hotel massage in the ground floor health spa of Phnom Penh hotel. This was advertised as a Thai massage for $12 for one hour. First impressions was that this place was very luxurious, with everything clean and new. I took off my clothes and put on the supplied pyjama.A chinese lady entered, she was full figured and probably in her late 20's. Very soon into the massage,I realised that this would be a massage with specials as she touched me with almost every part of her body. When, she was massaging my leg,she sat partially on my foot with my toes in her crotch. After massaging my thighs, she noticed that I was hard and asked me if I wanted a hand job.I told her that I wanted a blow job.She said $50 for blow job and $30 for a hand job. I got a bit of a genital massage and then she proceeded to suck.Awesome.She was like a vaccuum cleaner, the strongest blow job I have ever had, very nice. By this time,I was too far gone. She lay beside me and could tell that I wanted sex.She said $80. She slipped a condom onto me and I entered her in missionary, but she was too tight. We needed lubrication, but there was no KY or other condom lubricant,so I lifted up her legs and pushed hard. The amazing thing is that this curvy chinese lady seemed to be enjoying the sex as much as me.Her groans were a real turn on. Soon I came and she cleaned me up.I expected this to be the end of the massage,as is often the way in Thailand, but she said that there was still time and gave me a back and head massage. I paid her $80,and then paid $12 at the desk for the massage. A wonderful experience.I thoroughly recommend the health club in the Phnom Penh hotel. That evening,I took a tuktuk to the walkabout. This has always been a good place for Western food.A vietnamese sat next to me for company here. After eating,I went to look around.Wow.This area had become like the Pattaya of Phnom Penh, with so many bars, girls and customers.Very lively, with lots of music.I played pool in one of the bars with a khmer guy. Outside the girls called out to me to come into their bars. The only annoying thing was the numerous tuktuks and motos asking for custom. |

Re: Cambodia (Phnom Penh)
Oh, it is called tuk tuk by everyone here. BTW it is "remok" instead of "remook". Tuk tuk is not the cheapest way. If u have no big luggage bag, then bike is the cheapest.

Err... never heard of remook, bro. Been here 2 years +. There's no public bus in PP, there are buses going to the provinces, and of course those plying the Laos, Thailand and Vietnam routes. There are also those mini-vans that takes goods, people and some often both to the provinces as well and believe me, you don't want to get in one of them. There are 2 taxi companies here, Global and Prime (I think), one Chinese owned and the other, Korean. 4000 riels flagdown, not too expensive, cheaper than tuk-tuk on a real short distance, like 4000 riels because those thieving tuk-tuk drivers all want 6000 riels minimum anywhere. The tuk-tuk here is a carriage pulled by a motorcycle, unlike Thailand's. A bit dangerous considering there are 6 wheels but only 2 brakes. The motordop is simply a motorbike on which you are the pillion rider (min 1000 riel, USD 0.25). You can take a taxi from the airport to anywhere within PP for $9, and $7 for the tuk-tuk. I don't believe there's any motordop service from the airport. You could bargain it down to $3 if you want to save a nit, just drag your luggage to the main road and hail a tuk-tuk. Remook? maybe they called those rust buckets minivans that but again I don't think they run from the airport. Cheers

Even now when I take a tuk-tuk, even when I speak Khmer to them, they still want to take me for a ride. Thieving bastards. Always, and always agree on a price before going. Don't mean to mock you for the remook, bro, but I really haven't heard of this term. And I realize the longer I stay here I less I know about this country. Bros coming to PP this week, the traffic will be worst ever because of the ASEAN summit will be held here and the Asean leaders, including Obama, will be here for the week, starting today. Many roads will be closed and it will be one big chaotic scene here.

Someday. If we're still around. 555. See, we always have our last laugh. Just like my father, bless his non-caring but loving, someone-who-I-love-to-be-a-friend-with way, and my grandfathers too. But really, I would have been great friends with the old man.Pity he died at 50+. Jeeez, I must be getting senile to be thinking of him now that I'm older than when he died. I miss you Papa
