Re: Man City
Man City offer Mourinho £15M to quit Inter Milan
Manchester City's Arab owners want to bring Jose Mourinho back to England. The Sun says City will offer Inter Milan coach Mourinho an astonishing £15million a year to take over as boss. City’s billionaire Arab owners have made Mourinho their first choice to replace Mark Hughes. Third parties have already taken soundings about the move and have received a positive response. The termination agreement Mourinho signed on leaving Chelsea banned him from managing another club in England for a calendar year. But he received the final compensation instalment on September 21, leaving him free to return here. However, it is highly unlikely Mourinho will consider leaving Inter until the end of the season. That means owners Abu Dhabi United Group must decide if they can afford to wait seven months to get their man.

Re: Man City
Just finish watching the derby match between man city and man u. I would like to say Robinho is a big flop! He totally not contributing to the team...he can't outrun park, pass a visionary ball to strikers, pull the trigger when in gd position and worst of all he is lazy to chase after ball......shaun wright philips and dunn are the two players who really play their heart out for man city. the rest really really below par......wat a lousy display by the man city players....

Re: Man City
and mark huges said, they are near the big-four. think he mean the bottom four.
what man city really need is a high-profile manager. even if MC buy in the big name player, mark huges will have problem to manage them. he got to go first. |

Re: Man City
i think man city had a pretty damn good squad at the start of the season, wright-phillips, robinho, kompany, richards, ireland, zabaleta, jo.... i tink most of the players would be able to get into most sides in the premier league... man city shld change managers.. someone whu has a stronger character to manage the superstars tat they are supposedly aiming to buy... no point getting the big names when u dun have a manager with an astute tactical acumen... hughes is probably another of those manager that does well with a tight budget, like allardyce and curbishley...

Re: Man City
Man City had been robbed of a pt by the referee.
The fourth official shown that there were to be 4 minutes of injury-time. But he gave more than it and Michael Owen scored the winner in the 95 minutes toward the 96 minutes. Sorry to the Blues.

Re: Man City
Quote:
I thought it was a one-off performance by Manchester lesser known bro. But I got a shock tonight.......maybe John Terry should be sitting at home instead of appearing at Stamford Bridge. Chelsea 2 - 4 Manchester City : Red hot Bellamy and Tevez sinks Blues Wayne Bridge made a point, then left with all three as Manchester City blew the Premier League title race wide open once more by hammering nine-man Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. All kinds of conspiracy theories had been raised about the pre-match handshake following revelations about John Terry's alleged affair with Vanessa Perroncel, the mother of Bridge's young son. In the end, there was no mass boycott of the traditional pre-match handshake by City players, just an icy stare from Bridge as he refused to shake Terry's hand. It was perhaps the most predictable part of a truly astonishing afternoon that exploded into life once Frank Lampard had put the hosts in front just before the break. At about that point, Chelsea's world imploded. Henrique Hilario gifted City goals either side of the interval, failing to make saves Petr Cech would regard as routine to keep out shots from Carlos Tevez and Craig Bellamy either side of the interval. Then Juliano Belletti was red carded for a foul on Gareth Barry that allowed Tevez to fire home a third from the spot. And the drama did not finish there as Michael Ballack was also sent off for two yellow cards before Bellamy added another. A stoppage time Lampard penalty at least raised a cheer from a team whose lead over Manchester United remains a precarious single point. (excerpt from ESPN Soccernet)

Re: Man City
Distin of Everton recently said that money can't buy spirit. I have no issue with bellamy or tevez, they are awesome fighters, but when you look at some others like E.A. etc.....they look quite lazy at times.Sometimes too much influx of foreigners without the education of british bulldog courage causes the team to be quite light weight. Still, I hope you guys do well really because my blood is also blue from merseyside. Get the fourth spot!!!

Re: Man City
Man City eleminates one of their rivals for Fourth Place in EPL by coming back to beat Aston Villa 3-1.
So now it is between Man City and Tottenham Hotspur for the 4th placing. Although mathematically, both Villa and Liverpool still have a chance. The next match between City and Spurs on this coming Wednesday will probably decide it. If Man City won, they will take a 2 pts lead going into the final match on 9 May 2010 against West Ham. But if Spurs wins, then Spurs will be FOURTH and the final match will not matter. If the match between them is DRAW,then it will be decided on the last match of the season. 5 May 2010 - Man City vs Spurs 9 May 2010 - West Ham Utd vs Man City 9 May 2010 - Burnley vs Spurs Good Luck to all Man City's fans here.

Re: Man City
Hving added Aleksandar Kolarov, Yaya Toure, David Silva, Jerome Boateng, James Milner & Mario Balotelli 2 the team, Mancini has alot of work 2 do.
These r all good players, but he must come out with solutions 2 make them all work in a team. Mancini has spent approx £132 million for 2010/2011 season. $ k buy the best talent in the world,bu$ kannot buy instant success. some big names hv come & left, w/o winning any honours. |
