A request from bro 789550 to post some directions.
If you are walking over to Jinyu Hotel from the gongbei customs, there are actually 2 ways of walking from there. The first way is to walk through the first end of LHL to Jinyu Hotel, which is situated along LHL. Before I start, abit on LHL. LHL comprises of 4 sections, 2 of which is the pavement road, which means you do not see any tar surface. When you walk out of the customs, there will be a big patch of empty space in front of you. Walk straight all the way to the main road, and do a right turn. Continue to walk along the road. Pay attention to the left of you, there will be a bus terminal there. It is the start of the pavement LHL. Cross the road onto LHL and you will see a few hair saloon on your left, and the bus terminal on your right. Just walk straight all the way on the pavement and you will hit a small road. To ensure you are on the correct road, you will see some drink counter on your right, and the bank of china on your left. The small road is just in front of you. Cross the small road, and the fun almost starts... Abit on, you will see Ming Ann hotel on your right. This is where you will start to get bombarded by the SWs. Continue walking and you will see alot of shopping and even more drink counters on your right and left. Down here is where you will get most of the SWs waylaying you. Side track abit..... Try sitting at the drinks counter if you have the time... My fav meal area!!! Now, back to the directions. Immediately after the drink counters, there is another road you need to cross. This is the end of the pavement LHL. You will now start on the LHL with the normal tar road. There will be a Giordano on your right, a corner shop. Just continue walking all the way until you see the agricultural bank on your left, and another bank on your right( i cannot remember what bank this is ). Take note, you will be hitting the hotel soon. Jinyu is a bit hidden, so you can only look out for New ChangAn Hotel on your left. A small corner hotel. Jinyu is opposite the New ChangAn Hotel, which is your right. You have to spot a small road into the lobby of the hotel, about 30m inside. This is Jinyu. If you walk all the way and hit a major traffic junction, then you have missed the hotel. Back track abit abt 40m, then look around there again. The other way is to walk out of the customs and onto the main road. Cross the main road immediately and go straight, but stay on the right side of the road. Keep Walking straight until you see the police station on your right. Walk abit further and you will see a small road infront of you. Turn right an walk along this road, and you will hit the middle of the pavement LHL. Turn left and walk abit and you will see Ming Ann Hotel on your left, then proceed as above. Hi, newbie here need some advise.
I'll be in Macau, ZH & maybe HK fr 7-11 Jul. Intend to stay 1 nite in ZH on 8th. Actually it's my 2nd trip, so I would like to go there & then book the rm as this is not peak period. is it dangerous! I'm bringing a Hayat old bird to visit Macau 1st time. Heard about Jinyu. Can know how much is it? Thks in advance
