Ride to Vung Tau ar? I think you must have a death wish to ride on QL 1A. Better to take the fast ferry instead. Besides, it's 1h15mins instead of about 2.5 hrs. Get there, check in to lup sup hotel, rent bike from the hotel, then go cruising around. Ai mai?

Jap bars i think does not cost more than Cat Walk... you must look at total package price. For example, 2 guys goes to Catwalk and 2 guys goes to Jap Bar... what is the total damage including drinks, room, tips .. etc. I think CatWalk still more expensive.
Sorry to hear about your sad case.. if any consolation to you... i stole my ba xa from the jap... no heart pain yet.. just dick pain only..

I actually google earth the track to Vung Tau and thought it is a good idea to ride all the way there!!! Is it really that dangerous? I ride a yellow Vespa150.

Don't google earth it, google map it. You will see that the route to Vung Tau involves having to cross Saigon Bridge - Xa Lo Ha Noi - Quoc Lo 1A - enter Dong Nai Province near Bien Hoa City, turn off at Quoc Lo 51 and head due south to get to Vung Tau.
On the other hand, if you take a ferry, you basically just go south along the Nha Be River, when you emerge at the South China Sea just go east a little bit and you're there.

Thank you all, I am simple Boy lah.. I flew there to meet her few times, and was thinking can happily ever after. Then suddenly become untraceable, lost in the HCM jungle.. long story. I will be strong de.
Disclaimer: I'm typing just the initials for the street names because I don't want to get anyone into unnecessary risk or trouble. Some of these places are in real backwaters and I wouldn't want anyone to be there by themselves on a rented bike not knowing the area at all and looking very much like a lost foreigner. Pardon my saying this but some would kill for much less than you think. Nevertheless if you go, I suggest that you go at least in a pair (2 guys on 2 motorbikes) with at least one of you able to speak VNese. You should go with an 'open mind', be polite but on your guard. Most importantly, have fun and enjoy!
Oh man tks for the tips. Thought of venturing alone to these places but i guess heed yr warning better. Most of the Viet guys i see on the streets dun seem too friendly either

Let say you are going to Desaru in Johore, which route would you prefer from Changi point by ferry or use the Causeway by road?
Not bad. By the way motorbike girls "standard" rate is 200k ST, usually 50k for the ST hotel. I would pay 300k ST for a 'super cute' girl. For ON I pay maximum 500k.
the problem i have with ON is that if i offer 500k rather take the 700k price they refuse as they normally get 3 ST each night so they ae getting 500k as opposed to a 900k work night...the only way to make it work is if i take them after 2pm when they have basically finished, but then ill just want to sleep and would prob only pop one time as well so i always just go for the ST 300k option
