Oh man tks for the tips. Thought of venturing alone to these places but i guess heed yr warning better. Most of the Viet guys i see on the streets dun seem too friendly either
Viet guys don't seem friendly but Viet girls are very friendly. So always think on the bright side. Venture alone always carry Risks.

the problem i have with ON is that if i offer 500k rather take the 700k price they refuse as they normally get 3 ST each night so they ae getting 500k as opposed to a 900k work night...the only way to make it work is if i take them after 2pm when they have basically finished, but then ill just want to sleep and would prob only pop one time as well so i always just go for the ST 300k option
Ride to Vung Tau ar? I think you must have a death wish to ride on QL 1A. Better to take the fast ferry instead. Besides, it's 1h15mins instead of about 2.5 hrs. Get there, check in to lup sup hotel, rent bike from the hotel, then go cruising around. Ai mai?
hhhmmmm...seems like a good idea....thinking thinking....BTW...how is the hunt for greener pastures coming along??
Don't google earth it, google map it. You will see that the route to Vung Tau involves having to cross Saigon Bridge - Xa Lo Ha Noi - Quoc Lo 1A - enter Dong Nai Province near Bien Hoa City, turn off at Quoc Lo 51 and head due south to get to Vung Tau.
On the other hand, if you take a ferry, you basically just go south along the Nha Be River, when you emerge at the South China Sea just go east a little bit and you're there.
Faster. Simpler. Less Risk.
My advice: take the ferry. Going by motorbike, you take your life in your hands. Trucks here don't seem to worry too much if they flatten a few motorbike drivers during their trucking careers. It'd be a very stupid way to die. I've done that trip by motorbike. It's dreadful. It feels really dangerous. Not enjoyable. The ferry takes half the time and you can relax and read a book, or else watch the scenery go by. Some nice mangroves along the way too. (that said, there's some who'd argue that riding one of these ferries is also taking your life in hands -- I like my chances swimming more than being rolled over by a truck though) (by the way, I know of a guy who actually had his arm run over by a bus here, and by some freak miracle it didn't even break)

Good advice...better safe then be sorry...

If the truck knocks u n u dun die, the driver will reverse and knock u again. To them it is better that u die than u get into injury... Been to Vung Tau... Took ferry both way. Fast n easy.

I've took the ferry twice already and it took slightly more than an hour to reach Vung Tau. But my Vn girl get sea-sick whenever she took the ferry. She will rest by leaning her head on my shoulders, or she would lie down and rest her head on my thigh. I will then use my hand to gently stroke her long, smooth hair. So romantic....
But alas, that was more than 1 year ago, and we have broken-off since. Now she's trying to pair me up with her twin sister....
