Subic is nothing like the BKK you are so used to..... it has seen better days and is a place to slow down and relax. Since you are coming in mid-June, the floating bars along Baloy Beach may not be opened due to the expected typhoons so it is better to cheong the Barrieto bars. Safety wise.... it is safer than fields / perimeter...... just take the usual precautions.... the locals here are much more friendlier and laidback than those in AC...... the most likely danger you will encounter is most probably to be "robbed" by the little street child beggars...... the place is overwhelmed by them........ remember to keep plenty of small change. There is a van service running from NAIA to Subic but it runs only one trip per day and seats are limited to van capacity (about 10-12 pax). Ask your hotel to arrange a pickup service. Someone posted here about a bus shuttle service that was available but that was ages ago. The service has been discontinued. That is the problem with cut n paste...... the information is outdated and this idiot dun even bother to check its accuracy before posting it. |

The Fly the Bus service by Swagman Travel dun run anymore. After the Swagman hotel was sold.... the new owners decided to do away with the travel agency...... business was bad and now pending foreclosure. Re: Philippines, Olongapo City
Iv been thinkin abt this long n hard as well...
Sometimes its cheaper to fly to NAIA. Thts wht i did for one of my nurse gfs who wanted to go back on a holiday. Demand n supply/competition or the lack thereof The main factor Among other factors More locals using DMIA as their inbound/outbond port. The passenger traffic at DMIA Has been steadily growing. At most times we find DMIA reasonably empty coz the flights r spaced out unlike at NAIA where they arrive almost in quick succession. One of the possible reasons is tht higher no of p |

My suggestion is that, if possible, do plan the timing of the trip....you really do not want to get caught in peak hour traffic leaving NAIA...... |

Joining Keppel doesnt mean they post u here man. Only the 'good' or lucky guy got here. You be lucky if you not stuck in one of the 3 yards in Singapore or go over to one of their yard in the middle east man.

Re: Philippines, Olongapo City
Maybe cause I am getting old. I prefer to take Cebu Pacific straight to Clark instead. The jam and the airport at Manila is enough to turn me off. If I don't have to go through Manila, i rather skip it but too bad I have to go Manila every few months.
