If ud ask me, id recommend a private car... Does not cost much.
Roughly how much is "Does not cost much" ?

a) Calapandayan b) Baleyo beach c) Barreto

2.Among the 3 places above the prices in Barreto for our drinks, ladies drinks, bar fines are the lowest.

3.The number of bars in Barreto is the most.

Based on this info, I plan to stay at Barreto. Any recommendation of a hotel smack in the middle of the action e.g. Kokomos in Angeles ?
The number of bars is more in Angeles or in Olongapo City ?
How safe is Barreto area ? Advisable to walk back after partying past midnight ? Are the roads brightly lit at night? Prefer to stay right near the bars so as to avoid excessive walking alone after the bar hops.

How much will it cost to take a taxi/mini van from NAIA straight to Subic?
Thanks for the info.
Our LOS taikor is coming to Subic........ roll out the red carpet (drum rollllllll please).

Subic is nothing like the BKK you are so used to..... it has seen better days and is a place to slow down and relax. Since you are coming in mid-June, the floating bars along Baloy Beach may not be opened due to the expected typhoons so it is better to cheong the Barrieto bars.

Safety wise.... it is safer than fields / perimeter...... just take the usual precautions.... the locals here are much more friendlier and laidback than those in AC...... the most likely danger you will encounter is most probably to be "robbed" by the little street child beggars...... the place is overwhelmed by them........ remember to keep plenty of small change.

There is a van service running from NAIA to Subic but it runs only one trip per day and seats are limited to van capacity (about 10-12 pax). Ask your hotel to arrange a pickup service.

Someone posted here about a bus shuttle service that was available but that was ages ago. The service has been discontinued. That is the problem with cut n paste...... the information is outdated and this idiot dun even bother to check its accuracy before posting it.

Halo.... if you want to cut n paste at least make sure the info you post is up to date...... be more responsible and dun fly our fellow bros to Holland.

The Fly the Bus service by Swagman Travel dun run anymore. After the Swagman hotel was sold.... the new owners decided to do away with the travel agency...... business was bad and now pending foreclosure.

Details of the service (3S - Subic Super Shuttle) :-

Iv been thinkin abt this long n hard as well...

Sometimes its cheaper to fly to NAIA. Thts wht i did for one of my nurse gfs who wanted to go back on a holiday.

Demand n supply/competition or the lack thereof The main factor

Among other factors More locals using DMIA as their inbound/outbond port.

The passenger traffic at DMIA Has been steadily growing.

At most times we find DMIA reasonably empty coz the flights r spaced out unlike at NAIA where they arrive almost in quick succession.

One of the possible reasons is tht higher no of p

are you sure the allergy is not due to the 'white men' not acclimatised to local waters ?

Or maybe the nuclear discharge from the Sub that visits Subic often ? or worse .. the chemicals that US Navy dumped is oozing out ..

Oh, btw, some of the factories there are owned by Singapore ..

NAIA to Subic.....goodness, thats far......last time I went there via passenger van..............If can afford, get a car or MPV.....

My suggestion is that, if possible, do plan the timing of the trip....you really do not want to get caught in peak hour traffic leaving NAIA......

Joining Keppel doesnt mean they post u here man. Only the 'good' or lucky guy got here. You be lucky if you not stuck in one of the 3 yards in Singapore or go over to one of their yard in the middle east man.

Re: Philippines, Olongapo City

Maybe cause I am getting old. I prefer to take Cebu Pacific straight to Clark instead. The jam and the airport at Manila is enough to turn me off. If I don't have to go through Manila, i rather skip it but too bad I have to go Manila every few months.

Relak lah bro....... I'm sure the bro who posted it never realise the info was outdated as I have notice some websites dun date their information.

But I like your statement above
